With all due respect, this is awful idea. Exposing your upper body to UV rays, mosquito's, scrapes and cuts, etc., for the sake of covering your head is a last resort, not a pro tip. Buy this hat, or some other version of protection and keep your shirt on.

Sunscreen is great for sure, but most of us need someone else to get the back, which isn't always possible, and it needs to be reapplied every couple hours to remain effective. It also doesnt help protect against mosquitos, afaik anyway, or cuts and scrapes. I won't get into the potential health hazards of certain sunscreens but not all are created equal and using some may be a creating an issue for you later in life.

As far being laughed at, that kind of person isn't worth being around anyways.

Pro tip I picked up from living in Central America - take your shirt off and drape it over your head...

Never heard of sun screen? Jesus haha.

You're just going to get laughed at... although I have no idea what you're doing. In every scenario I would find myself in I would be...

Pros don't use shirts for hats.

I was going to link to watermans sunscreen and see what you thought but it looks like it's been discontinued? Shit I really hope not!

You have any sunscreen recommendation now that my favorite brand seems to be gone?

It was tons of zinc and hard to put on all the surfers and life guards and such I know used it...

I feel like shirts don't really protect so much against mosquitos they'll just bite you elsewhere right?

It's like more than a hat and cools you off. I've seen pro surfers do exactly as I describe. I don't know what pros we're talking about.
This post is about a fishing hat. Who said anything about surfing?
