You will probably need/want both SAE and Metric.... and then of course the larger sizes and the stubby sizes in both, for a complete set of just flex before doing it all over in non-flex. And then a tool box to hold everything that will soon require a duplicate as you collect more tools.

See how that works?

Yup. That's what happens. Then your wife tells everyone that you have a tool museum in your garage, and your neighbors start borrowing everything and forget to return half of it, which means you have to replace them. Both. The tools and the neighbors. And so you move into a house with a bigger garage and an attached shop space, which means you need a set of everything in both the garage and the shop.... and then... well, it spirals into needing help. And an intervention occurs, and even Dave Ramsay shows up. Before you know it, you're telling strangers about it all through misty eyes as you type out your shame for the world to see.
bye guys, good luck.

The first problem was the wife.... unless you find one that likes tools. I know a few wives that like and can use tools better than their husbands.

Maybe the first tool one should buy is an engraver.... put your name or logo on everything.

How important are the flex heads with the locking position? Are they worth the extra cost? Do you find them slipping without the lock?

Recommendations on how I can buy all of them at once?
