I've used Zavvi 2 times now and have been extremely pleased with the price and the the shipping speed from the the UK (less than 2 weeks).


I will say I got this set at the last Amazon Black Friday week madness sales (after staying up over night) and paid $511.31 but that was a once in a lifetime deal.

Current Amazon price is >$1000 so this is a good deal today.

The set is awesome. It took weeks to build (several hours a day). Warning, it is a little delicate and has lots of small details that do not make it good for handling (rough play). Make sure you have somewhere to put it as it is HUGE.

Zavvi is definitely legit. I've purchased a bunch of technic sets from them last year, all came in perfect condition.

I have bought multiple times from site. No issue. On a separate note, if you can afford to buy a few before they are gone, this is the set to do it. I have been a hero to many nephews etc, by giving them a $200+ Wall-E set that I bought a few for sub $50 9 or so years ago, and recently with an Indominus Rex set (though I direct hero with Indominus as I had to give to my sister so it could be "from Santa" who was asked for it. This will be a set like like that, which will never go old and makes people's holidays. That being said, again, pricey and the age level is higher for kids...

Is this set due to be retired soon?

I ask because I got one on the Amazon black friday deal a couple years back ($500). Still on the fence if I should open and assemble it or wait for it to retire and see if the price goes ridiculous.
