This was the most fun I've ever had building a Lego set. It's incredibly detailed and has a lot of really great techniques. This was a build that my entire family was involved in and those memories will last a lifetime.

That being said, before you buy this you really should plan out how you're going to display it. It's almost 3 feet long and 2 feet wide and just under 20 lbs.

What was the word on zavvi? I know I've seen them pop up before but I've never bought anything from them. Reliable? Positive experience?
I ordered the big Liebherr excavator from them last year and it was great, package was absolutely pristine too - something I have never seen with the sets I've ordered from Amazon lol.

Is this set due to be retired soon?

I ask because I got one on the Amazon black friday deal a couple years back ($500). Still on the fence if I should open and assemble it or wait for it to retire and see if the price goes ridiculous.
Just open it man. You already got competition unless you wanna keep it sealed for 50 years. Rate of return is extremely votaile

Garbage. I tried to order the mondo infinity war vinyls when they went on sale for 25$ they canceled my order 2 hours later with no options to cancel a crappy avengers robe i didnt want. Then ive contacted customer service week after week for an explanation of why and they finally admited it was a price glitch (its 49$ now) and refuse to honor the price i bought it at still

Bought one a few years ago from the Target coupon stacking mistake. Still hasn't build it yet. Each time I look the humongous box, I get more and more discouraged. Maybe someday.

How is this thing msrp at $800? $800?!??! I have a three foot long star trek enterprise from mega blocks that I bought on sale for $125. Mega blocks is proof Lego is screwing you. I would love to sneak a peak at their margins. Cha ching!
Not like you can't look up their profits.

In 2020 they had operating profit of 12.9 billion DKK (about 2.1 billion USD) on revenue of 43.7 billion DKK (about 7.1 billion USD).

That would be about 30% profit on their items on average.

I've used Zavvi 2 times now and have been extremely pleased with the price and the the shipping speed from the the UK (less than 2 weeks).

I will say I got this set at the last Amazon Black Friday week madness sales (after staying up over night) and paid $511.31 but that was a once in a lifetime deal.

Current Amazon price is >$1000 so this is a good deal today.

The set is awesome. It took weeks to build (several hours a day). Warning, it is a little delicate and has lots of small details that do not make it good for handling (rough play). Make sure you have somewhere to put it as it is HUGE.
That's what she said.

Hi, how is the king version or their sets in general? I've ordered from Lepin, and the quality is pretty good. Not as good as Lego, but totally fine. The only issue i had was Lepin doesn't package the pieces very well. So, basically, I have to open up all the bags and dump them in a bucket. I like how lego has each part in a separate bag so I'm not digging for pieces 90% of the time. Just wondering if King does this better.

thanks
I've ordered a couple of modulars (Lepin back then) because I needed Cafe Corner and Green Grocer but was never going to pay what aftermarket was asking. There's very subtle differences in the quality of the brick, but hardly noticeable, and you may have to substitute some things to get the correct colors. Also, they are generally missing some pieces (especially on the bigger sets).

I love the King sets. Like someone already said, sometimes you will be missing a piece, but I have never had a problem with that. Usually end up having extra pieces. Subtle differences verses the real thing, but that's what you get when you don't pay for the name. I'll try to attach a pic of the completed build here. Just to get an idea of the size. The table that it is displayed on is a 36" square table

I remember passing on the Amazon deal due to the size. Had to remind myself this time and fight the impulse to click buy. Same reason why I never picked up the Hasbro BMF. Thanks.

Is that a King or the Lego?
