I get that movie ticket prices have now tripled to $15 but Legos have increased 150 times higher to $750! The price of plastic must have skyrocketed.
(You could buy a lot of house with a $250 monthly mortgage in the late 70s)
I ask because I got one on the Amazon black friday deal a couple years back ($500). Still on the fence if I should open and assemble it or wait for it to retire and see if the price goes ridiculous.

They're doing pretty good. With that said I'm a fan of Lego and go with the general consensus that if a Lego is at less than 10cents a piece (6-7 is ideal) then it's fine.
