Amazon has the Westinghouse Wgen 3600v on sale for $299. It is temporarily out of stock BUT you may add it to the cart and check out today. RV ready.

Compared to the Briggs and Stratton I just posted this is $127 less with similar load rating. It is 11 pounds lighter.

Note that B&S and Westinghouse both describe their generators by honest running watts rather than peak watts or starting watts. Generators in the 4-5k range are very easy to pull start so no need to pay $100 more for electric start and they are more reliable imo.

For those that need more wattage, as in an emergency back up, I highly recommend the next model up Westinghouse which gets you 240 volt manual transfer switch ready, is available in dual fuel and can power a well pump, electric water heater, kitchen range, ac but not all at once.

Thank you for letting us know. 5000 watt 240V is my personal minimum. I follow prices on those not the 3500 watt 120V camping generators.

Is this the kind that could be used to power up a freezer and some heaters in winter, if needed? I'm new to generators and I'm not sure of what kind to buy. Also, how important is it to have dual fuel?

Where do you get this cheap at Lowe's? I'm looking on their site and cannot find one cheaper than 500
