Apparently, the only thing that's better on this model is battery life, since the battery life on the OG Galaxy Chromebook is terrible.
Also, FYI, this one has no built in silo for a stylus and does not ship with one. You'd have to buy it separately.

uhh, yeah. it's also on sale here for 349, which the original would never touch.

I didn't say it wasn't a good deal at this price, just that there is a big difference between Chromebook and Chromebook 2.
Also, I bought my Chromebook at $479 from Samsung. There have been several deals posted here at that price and I also got 10% cash back so I paid only $80 more than this deal. If that same deal were available today, it would be a no brainer, unless you're someone who is always on the go with no wall outlet and need the better battery life.
The better one is currently $594 w/ edu/epp, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that it will drop back down to $479.

Really tempting to get this. Been debating about a new chromebook. I have an older Lenovo that is just outdated.

In MY opinion, having owned the original Galaxy chromebook, I'd rather have this one. Don't believe the hype of that model being so much better, I'm not just going off the spec sheet I've had that one in house for quite some time. The battery life is bad, like 4 yr old iPhone 8 battery bad haha who wants to be constrained to a wall with a 13.3 inch thin and light ultra premium device?
