And here's a review of the Lenovo Legion 5 with the same RTX 3060 but at 130 watts, and a Ryzen 5800H

In relative overall gaming performance, you get like 5% more gaming performance going from a i7-108750H with a 90 watt 3060 to a Ryzen 5800H with a 130 watt 3060, according to the review. Not really worth the added heat, and money in my opinion. The pure CPU bench scores are a bit higher though on the Ryzen G15. I'd definitely save the cash, and go with this much cheaper G15 intel model. Hope this helps!

The display on the Dell is also the lowest of the low for gaming laptops, it's really bad.

Unless you're only talking about appearance. Which is subjective. I like it, myself. Also, that's good to know about the ram for AMD. Unfortunately, that makes it even more expensive though, adding $85 to a $250 premium, going to the Ryzen version. I don't wanna spend $335 more for a 10% increase in framerates. That's a 3rd of the cost of this deal. Have you used this exact 250 nit display in this laptop? I'm actually curious if it's bright enough for darker rooms. I don't plan to ever use it outside. Thanks, BoastfulMice.

The ram I was talking about is only really applicable to the legion 5, where the base 16gb config is known to have poor ryzen ram, unlike the Dell G15 ryzen with higher wattage which has fine ram(and what looks like a mux switch, sadly intel version doesn't have this) will be substantially faster.

The 5 pro doesn't have much of an issue with markups and is in stock for the 3060. But that doesn't compete with this laptop. The legion 5 non pro competes but that hasn't really had a release in the US
However, the HP Omen 3060 is a better laptop then this Dell

250 nits is good enough for dark rooms, it's just a bad display in general. If you don't do competitive shooters then you don't need high response times, problem is you can't configure the panel unlike monitors and you'll be stuck with useless overshoot despite not needing the aggressive response times.
