Kayano is a stability shoe and nimbus is a neutral shoe. Depending on your steps / feet you should decide the shoe. If you are neutral then Nimbus , if pronated the kayano. Hope this helps

Sameish as kayano. Kayano are stability shoes for over pronation. These are for neutral or under pronation.

Okay, I see that it is actually the second post for me. The first post doesn't say anything about signing up but thanks for taking time to point it out to me.

I just woke up and am not functioning at full capacity until this cup of coffee is in me.
Lucky for me, I have someone like you that takes the time out of their morning to correct me in such a sweet manner!

Thank you!

Sorry. Yankees fan here, and I woke up disgruntled.

ASICS doesn't offer "no question ask" return right? I buy NIKE online during sale and if it's bad, I can just return it...should I just give ASICS a blind trust lol

I have the latest Glycerin and Nimbus. Like the above post, I think the Nimbus provide better support/cushioning when running than Glycerin. I have not tried Ghost yet but may try them out.
That helps me. I've not worn the Asics but love the Brooks Ghost and the Glycerin even better.

there are so many types of damn running shoes. how the hell supposed to choose? anyone can recommend best Asics model for road running 20-25 miles a week on pavement, need some extra cushion for 39 year old knees. even though i am slightly flat footed, i seem to supinate more than over pronate so no stability shoes. just looking for maximum comfort, speed is not as important but i dont want something too soft. also need wide size. thanks shoe experts!

The Nimbus line is due for a pretty big overhaul in the near future. ASICS is doing exciting new things with shoes like the glideride and novablast but I can't recommend the heavy and clunky decade(s) gel/foam combo here. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, there are just far better options available.

For a decent neutral trainer, I'd recommend the Saucony Ride 13. Deals for it come up pretty regularly at the 70 or less price point. Source: average runner who watches too many YouTube reviews of running shoes.
