Basically the support falls on party lines, unless it can be worked into a reconciliation bill or they blow the filibuster it's not happening.
Edit: just for clarity, didn't want to get the politics argument going on this more just a realistic view of whether the credit will get added to make this a much better deal.
2021 hatchback with a few amenities...
(Don't have a relative/friend that works for GM.. would have saved me $15-20/month)
Lease 30k, $1300 down (first month + all taxes and fees) with all incentives available inclui Costco)
$325/ month.

I do know there are different charging rates and that depends on the vehicle AND the charging station, but again, if I'm driving somewhere a bit far from home and need to top up, what's it like? Do you get stuck somewhere for hours, possibly waiting for a station to free up? Etc?
Not all models have DC fast charging, so please double check before you buy. Mine is a 2020 premier and comes standard with it.

The driving experience is dull, the seats are flat and uncomfortable, it is very slow and top heavy, the charging rate sucks, the tech sucks, the whole interior is cheap and noisy.
This is nothing like a model 3. This is closer to an electric golf cart than a Tesla. Without the tax incentive, buy a mustang mach E for 35k after tax incentive.
I will tell you, I drove an i3 and it sucked. I could not point out anything better it provided over a bolt for double the price tag. O wait, I am getting that fancy logo on the car.
I will say the seats are not the best but everything else you stated is incorrect. The car charges just fine. I have yet to use a DC charger but I have read you can get about 0-80% in an hour. I can charge mine overnight at my house and never is a problem (you will need a better charger though) Not sure what tech you are expecting at 20K but it has apple play, a big ass screen, rear camera, blind spot warning, heated seats/steering wheel, cant stay in my lane warning, someone stopping in front of me warning, pretty sure I cannot name a feature I am missing. It is also funny you think it is slow but hey go test drive it yourself people.
Stop shitting on the car because it is not a luxury item. People know what they are getting when they are buying a Chevy. There is a reason everything has different price points. If you would rather spend double or more on a tesla, have at it.

As far as DC fast charging is concerned, do I wish it was faster? Sure. But it does a pretty solid job going from 20% to 80% charge in about 45 to 50 minutes, and I only have to worry about that on the occasional long trip. As others have noted, charging overnight is straightforward and is typically done in 8 hours or so depending on your set up (with a level 2 charger, using the dinky 120v one that comes with the car will take days, I do not recommend that if your situation allows).
I don't think I'm ever going back to an ICE.

Really can't stand how GM won't just lower the cost of the car. Taxes are double here because you pay them on full price of the car. Any other dealer would just lower purchase price but not GM with these stupid rebates. Was offered an LT for 23.3k yesterday and OTD it would have been almost 28k.
That said this car is fun to drive and I'd probably get another if the price is right.

No wireless android auto/apple car play. A back up camera with the resolution of a potato, super narrow tires that make it noisy and terrible a road holding and inclement weather performance. The seats are cracking, the buttons are wearing off, and the power lift gate is going slower and slower.
The car has a 37k dollar MSRP. That isn't cheap. If you don't care about driving experience, interior quality, range, and don't harshness, this is a cheap person mover.

Normally I wouldn't even consider a Chevy, but they were the pioneers of electric cars and it shows with the Bolt. If you look at forums and online reviews, there are people who have driven 100K miles and only had to rotate tires/change tires. The consensus seems to be it's a very reliable, fun to drive car with very few problems. Meanwhile, Tesla is next to last in reliability out of 25 brands, and the online reviews constantly speak of build quality problems.
