LOL! Found the salty kid who's parents won't buy him any 4k stuff
Reminds me of the "human eye can only see 24fps" stuff lawl.
Basically anyone in the world who has a decent setup and TV would disagree with you. The difference is immense if you're sitting at a proper viewing distance and HDR color is an even bigger upgrade than the increase in resolution. Not to mention the lossless quality Dolby Atmos/DTS-X soundtracks which can only be found on UHD blurays.
Good luck with that. Expect a very spotty selection of 4K UHD on Prime Day.

How is he salty? I'm a grown adult with F-U money and still won't waste my money on 4k blurays when they're barely an upgrade to regular blu rays and even look worse in some cases.
Well that's just proof that being a "grown adult with F-U money" does not equal intelligence!

No, it means even if you have the money to blow, it's unintelligent to blow it on an insignificant "upgrade", and in some cases a downgrade. But you do you and blow your money if you want. It's yours.

Yea if you believe the AQ on 4K disc vs digital streaming is "insignificant "upgrade", and in some cases a downgrade" your "intelligence" definitely has to be in question!!
Hmm let's see I usually get my 4K disc for around $10 and sell the digital code for around $5.
How much do you "rent" your inferior movie for?
Let me guess you're using a soundbar and it's "sounds" just like the theaters! 🙄

really? sounds to me like a grumpy old man who thinks any advancement in technology is just a cash grab lmao. Bet this guy also thought electric vehicles were just a short-lived fad.

having a lot of money doesn't shield a person from being blind and dumb.
Lol more accurately for you blind AND can't hear! 😜👍🏻
I have 20/10 vision and my hearing is even better. I get tested yearly for my job lol. But keep trying to convince yourself you see and hear a difference kid. Gotta justify your wasted money some how 🤡.

LOL apparently doesn't do you much good since you think 4K disc sound is a ""insignificant "upgrade", and in some cases a downgrade" compared to digital streaming! 🙄
Which soundbar gave you that "upgraded" sound over disc again?
How much did you pay for that "rental" movie again?

I have a $10,000 dollar sound system and 150" screen. Move on already little kid. You're clearly a broke bum trying to justify your 4k blu ray purchase from your birthday money and mommy's allowance. 🤡

LOL now that's the icing on the cake!!!!
You so called spent $10K on a "sound system" to listen to significant inferior "rented" digital streaming audio and you are worried about $10 disc!!!!! 🤣
"sound system and 150" screen" !!!
Trying googling something more current to use as a description!!! 🤣
Maybe you should stick to your Xbox/PS5 side of things, you clearly must have used that as your player.
Who would use a stand alone player when you can have a game console that can do double duty!
Especially since there is "no difference" with how tone mapping and upscaling is processed between the two!! 😜👍🏻

Nobody is worried. I didn't say I spent 10k, I clearly said my system costed 10k. Also didn't say I watched digital media. 0 for 2. Learn to read and comprehend. You continue to embarass yourself further with every reply. Just log off already and stop embarassing yourself kid. 🤡🤡🤡

I recommend you continue to shop for OLEDs or similar to replace your Sharp 70" 1080p nonHDR, which was am amazing TV for its time, best of the best. My panny plasma wasn't nearly as good, but I stuck with it for a while past the intro of UHD because I thought that the LCD didn't come close in experience when it came to motion (motion blur is gross), brightness, black levels, etc. THEN I saw OLED at CES in 3D which was AMAZING, and added it to my bucket list if it ever became "affordable" for us. Then I saw OLED with in 4K with HDR as well as 3D all in one TV on clearance for a couple thousand (65C6) and extended to buy it... no regrets. Watching UHD HDR/DV on this TV is very obviously different, even my wife/kids can tell the difference.

I recommend you read my comments before typing out a paragraph of nonsense. I never said I had a sharp tv. Never said it was 1080P either. I own a 4k HDR projector and the LG 83" OLED. Still own a VT60 plasma because motion can't be touched on it, and a sharp Elite LCD.
With that being said, 4k HDR Blu rays are barely noticeable, and in most cases even worse than 1080P Blu rays. I'll stick to Blu rays unless the transfer is significant enough to upgrade, which isn't the case 99% of the time.

Exactly, which is why I'm not dumb enough to waste money on 4k Blu rays. 🤡
