I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Will do that soon, thanks. Just need to find a way to spend 4k in 3 months other than buying VISA gift cards.
Tons of stuff. Gas, phone bill, groceries, etc. It will definitely shift a lot of spending to one card, but it seems more than doable.
Also, if you have Verizon like I do (they threaten to remove your autopay discount if you don't pay with your debit card/checking account), just do what I do and go buy Verizon gift cards in one of their stores that sell them. I got one a few minutes from me that I always combine trips with it so I'm not going out of my way. Get my credit card rewards still and Verizon's none the wiser.
I currently have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card and my wife only has the Freedom. She qualified for the 100k for Sapphire Preferred so I signed her up. I'm not sure how many of you are in the same boat but once she clears the 100k points, I should then be able to transfer those points to my CSR at 150% value if used for travel so that would equate to $1500.00 which would absolutely be phenomenal.
My wife is an authorized user in my account but has never had this card outside of being an authorized user. She hits all the criteria for approval and then it seems like we can link accounts to transfer to my UR account. Am I understanding right that we can remove her as a user and then apply and transfer her points to mine when it guys and then downgrade at the end of the year? Or am I missing something?

Doe this work if already have a secondary card and applying for new card as primary?
Rules say that if you have a Sapphire card you aren't eligible which means regardless of whether a person is primary or secondary they aren't eligible.
Your spouse needs to be deactivate as secondary or you have to get a new spouse. Your choice.

I just applied and received a pending decision notification. Does this mean an inevitable rejection to come in the mail? Anyone know the number to call to inquiry about the hold up?
It just means it requires manual as opposed to computer approval/disapproval. You can call to get it expediated or wait 10 business days. A call is preferable because you can answer their questions.
I just got this card with the 80K bonus. Can my husband get this card now for the 100 k bonus? Will having the same address trigger something? (We have different last names).
Ofcourse, your husband can apply regardless of whether he shares the same last name. You are two different individuals, right, not one person with 2 personalities, right?
If the 100K bonus doesn't evince their interest maybe you ought to get new smarter friends?
Not sure about smarter just lazy. I told them step by step easy instructions to go to Kroger, buy 2 $500 prepaid cards (so you can use the payback with points) then paypal or venmo the remaining 3K to meet MS so we shall see. Some people have a hard time getting the MS but I always use the services to avoid the headache.

Planning to call and remove her from the account and then apply for her. Any insight as to if I should wait to apply or if once she's removed we can get it?

BOTTOMLINE: NO ONE SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS CARD BEFORE JUNE 17TH OR ELSE LOSE OUT ON POSSIBLY GETTING THE $95 FEE WAIVED AND A $50 CREDIT.
Someone's wife (who works at Chase) already confirmed on this thread that there is the superior offer.
