I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

How does the 48 months between rewards calculated? I opened my CSP July 2017 but didn't get the reward 3 months later. Do I wait until July 2021 or October 2021?
If you have $4k in medical bills, couldn't you charge them on this card and pay yourself back with your HSA? (Assuming you have a health savings account)
There's no grocery credit anymore and the annual fee is not waived.
People are reporting that on 6/17, they will begin offering this deal in branches where they have the ability to waive the annual fee and offer the $50 grocery credit unless I am missing something
Piece of cake for existing chase users. I went into the app and found I was already pre-approved. All i did was confirm my salary and accept the terms.
When should I cancel the card or how long should I keep it open? How much will it drop my credit score for canceling and will it also affect other things too? Thanks

Not a piece of cake anymore since you lost on an even better deal....

The 48 months is from the date of bonus award (presumably the statement date that the bonus was awarded). So, in your case, that would be October or possibly November. Check your account history. If you can't find it, ask for assistance from Customer Service.

48 month clock starts when the Sapphire bonus points dropped into your account.
I have a CSP and its been over 4 years since my bonus. Should I just outright apply to a Freedom card to get that bonus and then downgrade my CSP to another Freedom so that I can then apply for this card on a new account? Or does downgrading make me eligible for a Freedom bonus (highly doubt it though)?
I guess applying for a Freedom card would count against me for 5/24 but that would only be 1. Any thoughts? My plan was to get the CSP in branch at 80k points and then in 13 months product switch to a CSR. I currently have 90K UR points
If you have opened 5 new credit card accounts in the past 24 months, Chace will not give you the bonus.
5 from any bank? My plan is to cancel this card before 12 months. Then reapply later to get a bonus. I signed up may 2021. So when could I reapply for new bonus? 24 months after may sign up date? Or 24 months after closure date? Or different
You can easily convert the 100K to $1250 with the 25% bonus on Chase ultimate Rewards and Pay Yourself Back (PYB).
Airfares are essentially the same (not jacked up but an added $5 or $10 fee per ticket). You can pay yourself back on a number of items again with the bonus 25%.
This is a no brainer. Get the card on June 17th when it will be available at Chase branches without the annual fee and with $50 grocery credit and of course 100K points
Ahhh opened more then 4 cards anywhere? Or 4 cards from chase?

I thought you can only have 1 sapphire card at a time? Anyone else able to get approved for preferred while having a sapphire as well?

you cannot apply 5 new credit cards within 24 month, it will be auto declined
So many posts here with basic questions or with answers that are not quite accurate (such as cannot apply for 5 new credit cards within 24 months).
I got CSP last week for 80K bonus . Just called to see if they would up my bonus to 100K. Frist rep said nope. Called again and asked for a manager. After some back and forth she said "let me see what I can do" and then 5 minutes later "you are good to go." I hope she didn't say that to just get rid of me. YMMV.
