I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I went to my local branch today and spoke with the rep and on her computer, it is showing only 80,000 points. Doesn't show 1st year annual fee is waived nor the $50 GROCERY credit. When i told her my friends told me about the 100k points, she Googled it and there it was, the $100k. But in their system, it was only 80k. How can I apply and have the 1st year annual fee waived? TIA!
Can someone confirm if I can't have a sap card for past 4 years or received a sap bonus within last 4 years. The chase phone rep told me I need to not have any sap card for last 4 year to receive the new bonus.
So what's going on with the 80k vs 100k when applying in branch? I want to get the fee waived, but I'd rather do it online to guarantee I get the 100k minus $95 annual fee vs risking only getting 80k.
I also applied today in branch. The banker knew the offer is for 100,000 points even though it said 80,000 on the application. I checked with her multiple times and she assured me that I will get 80,000 plus another 20,000, annual fee waived and $50 grocery credit. Got instant approval. Now I wait for the card to arrive. It is already showing up in online account though. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and providing answers.
Is the online app showing you need $4k to get your 100k points? I think chase shows it.

I applied a month a go and called to see if I can get the extra points. The rep told me that this is a branch initiative promotion that started on June 3rd and will end sometime in July. To get the100k the application has to be initiated at the branch. They have been getting a lot of call about this. No go for me

I'm sort of confused. How does this apply to what I asked? Do you mean you have to go into a branch to get the 100k, online doesn't work?

Honestly, not sure where on the app to look for this information. I see 0 ultimate reward points for CSP but I see lot of reward points for my other two Chase Freedom cards.
Has anyone applied for the CSP in NYC and got the 100k+annual fee waived. If so, which bank? Walked into 8 banks and none of them have any idea what I'm talking about.

I just signed up in branch. They assured me that the 20k extra will come in as a separate bonus. But they've been instructed it will be 100k total.

I just did this in local branch today. The banker showed me the changes on her computer screen that points are changed to 100K from 80K. Looks like the changes are separate popup as she also showed me what's the previous screen was 80K. In that previous screen, it has annual fee waivered for 1st year and $50 grocery credits. After I done my application, she printed out the terms and conditions of old one 80K points and she just hand wrote 100K on the sheets. I don't care as I have seen the new popups showing 100K correction.
$50 grocery credits is good for first 12 months and automatically apply when the card is used on relevant charges.
On top of that , there is another $60 in statement of credits on qualifying Peloton purchase through 12/31/2021. It says that qualifying Peloton purchases includes only those Peloton digital or All-Access Memberships purchases. I have no idea what the Peloton is.

8 Banks? I would have gladly paid $95 at that point and applied online.

I'd be too nervous to rely on that. I learned a long time ago that 90% of these CSRs are completely oblivious to what they are saying. They tell you what you want to hear to get you to go away, and then you get burned.
Given that I was getting the extra 20,000 points by applying online (and losing out on the $50 grocery credit and the AF being waived), I just went ahead and did it. Saved me a trip to the branch and I didn't want to risk burning myself should the points not come through.
For people who applied online thru the portal. Did you apply first to see if you were preapproved, or when you clicked, "Accept and Submit," is that when it did the credit check and told you that you were approved and you were receiving the card? The app nor website is showing the $50 grocery credit.
I had posted earlier that an assistant gm at my local chase branch said he could waive the fee for me and couldn't see the preapproval in my profile, nor the offer. Then about an hour later a banker called and said she saw I called and still had no offer, so I was gonna wait to see if this GM calls me.
