I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Any length of time before changing to an Unlimited from a no AF Sapphire that I can apply for this card?
I downgraded my Reserve to a Freedom Unlimited last Friday (6/18). Got referred today by someone who also downgraded on 6/18 that opened up the CSP today in branch. My online application was approved as well.
I have a Chase Slate card that hasn't been used in over 3 years. I have no use for it and does not give me any cash back or points. I logged into my Chase app and saw they are offering me the chase sapphire preferred card with 100,000 bonus points. It says I'm already approved for it. So don't think there will be a hard credit pullā¦they probably just convert my slate card to this sapphire card. Or should I just go for the chase unlimited which is also being offeredā¦..I'm a bit confuse which one would be best for me since I rarely travel ( haven't been on a plane in over 5 years)ā¦.should I get the sapphire for the bonus points and then convert it to the unlimited a year later?
When you see you are pre-approved for the Sapphire Preferred, it means you are the target who meets specific criteria of the Sapphire Preferred card. When you apply, you are applying for a new credit. Thus, there will be a hard pull on you. Unless Chase has your consent, they will not convert your Slate to Sapphire Preferred. In a circumstance like Slate being discontinued, then Chase will convert your Slate to another same-tier card. Sapphire Preferred is not considered a same-tier card of Slate. Freedom Unlimited is. Keep in mind that a product change will not qualify for the sign-up bonus of 100K points.
There are certain categories you can redeem your points with 125%. Grocery, travel, home improvement, charity, restaurant, are all among the categories.

Has anyone (who has the Sapphire Reserve) applied and got accepted? Or will they just assume you are applying because of the bonus and reject you since the points/dollar are inferior to the CSR?
I tried to apply for another Chase card a year ago and they rejected me because Chase only extends credit up to 50% of your income right?
Not sure about 50% income for credit rule. Combining 3 chase cards I am over 65% including the new CSP that I opened last week.

I've been trying to apply in branch but it isn't showing in their system for me for some reason. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and apply online.
Yes, but you will be charged a fee[irs.gov] for paying IRS by credit card. To play it safe, call Chase to set your cash advance down to $100, which is the minimum you can set to. You cannot disable cash advance option though.

Does paying for estimated taxes to the IRS count towards the 4k spend?
Did you find out the answer? My husband is an authorized user of my card and I'm wondering if he can qualify
I removed myself (sent secure message from Chase app) from her account, and applied in the branch after about 10 days. It shows 80k in progress bar in the app. And per banker, will get 20k points once spending limit met.
Are there others who don't see the bonus tracker on their chase account ? Or did anyone's take a few days to show up? Just got approved, but no tracker showing.

Why do you need a tracker? Who cares about the tracker. Just focus on spending the 4k.
