I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

My wife signed up online while I signed up in branch. But both show the same way as on my screenshot. The points are not credited as of yet. These are the transactions in the current month and the points will be reflected in next statement. Perhaps in the statement the points will be split and shown as 80K + 20K.
BTW, my wife's 100K posted immediately to her UR account once she met the 4K spend. My 80K (from the previous deal) posted immediately to my UR account once I crossed the 4K spend threshold. I don't understand why your UR accounts haven't been credited yet.
Really? I thought points credited in the following statement is the norm. Not sure if it is because we have multiple accounts with UR. Indeed, my UR account shows as below. 2489 + 1526 = 4015.
Your new account bonus
You did it! Your 80,000 bonus will be added to your points balance as of your next statement on 08/03/21.
In the meantime, check out more ways to earn points. Account open since 06/17/21.

Rewards have no value until redeemed.

The online offer with 100K sign-up bonus points will at least be extended to the end of this month. The in-branch offer will have the same SUB points plus $95 annual fee waived. The additional $50 grocery credit when signing up in branch will end today.

Is there time to downgrade Sapphire Reserve and apply for Preferred before this offer ends?
I would like to share my CSP application experience. I downgraded my CSR last Saturday (7/10), and went to apply CSP at the branch on Tuesday (7/13) but was told it's not showing available under my profile to apply. Tried again at a different branch today (7/17), the rep applied the CSP for me without any problem with the same bonus package with 80K+20K points, $95 AF waived, and $50 grocery credit. Got instant approval with expedite delivery by UPS. I double checked with the rep and she confirmed that she's able to do it because CSP shows available to apply under my profile today. But the system did request her to re-enter my DL#. So I guess it's YMMV of how many days it takes for CSP card shows available to apply on profile . For those who downgraded CSR recently, no hurt to try again at a different date. It works for me after exactly one week. Hope it helps. Good luck!
Chase changed the rule in 2019. Customers are now only allow to have one Sapphire card. In your case you are eligible for signing up the CSP today, but you won't be able to apply for another CSR while having the CSP.
Thanks! So I assume with this new change, the 48 month rule would still be in effect regardless of if I apply for a CSR later (in terms of bonus)?
I suppose I could grab the 100k point bonus now with CSP and then in 2 years when I plan on going to Disney and will spend all of my points, (at 1.5x UR) I could convert to a CSR for the points and travel perks etc... but of course then no additional CSR sign up bonus.
Yes, you can upgrade your CSP to CSR a year later in order to take advantage of the travel perks of CSR, but you can't have both CSP and CSR at the same time. And yes, no SUB for your product change from CSP to CSR.

I noticed my current Chase UA credit card's credit limit decreased per my conversation with Chase Recon line in consideration of my CSP application. But I still haven't seen my new CSP account popped up when I logged into Chase. Is this a good sign that my CSP app was approved?
Call 800-432-3117 and find out whether your CSP has been approved.

If the CSP is going to be your 5th card in 24 months, then you are good. Under 5/24 rule, you can't have opened 5 or more credit cards across ALL banks in the last 24 months. This includes:
1. Any new personal credit cards that you open at any bank. Even if you later close these accounts, they still are counted toward the 5/24 rule.
2. Retail credit cards like cards from stores like Victoria's Secret, Best Buy, and Amazon will also be counted.
3. Being added as an authorized user to someone else's credit card account will be counted.
4. Any business cards that are reported to personal credit report such as Capital One and Discover.

If I have 4 opened credit cards in the last 24 months and I try to apply for this Chase card will that put me on the 5/24 rule?

That's an interesting looking message. Neither my wife nor I got anything like it (email, secure message, credit card account, UR account).
Is it from the Chase app? Neither my wife nor I have the app. Never bothered to load it since we both burned through the minimum purchase requirements reasonably quickly.
Our UR accounts are pretty straightforward. There are pending activities (points not yet awarded) and there are posted activities (points awarded to the account). There are several activities currently on our accounts that have been awarded after the last statement closed. So, at least in our case, points aren't necessarily tied to billing statements.
Strange that your experience should be so different, huh?
But knowing Chase the way I do, I wouldn't be surprised if their award systems worked differently for different accounts.
After reviewing both my wife's and my account, I cannot verify my previous assertions (there's no footprint left to document).
Moreover, in reviewing our accounts, it appears that I was mistaken. Even after activities are posted, they don't post to the UR total until the current billing cycle closes.

Exact same situation here. Downgraded last Friday. Didn't show wed or thurs. Went into branch today (Saturday) and it showed. Approved instantly.
