I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Sorry, by math I meant the "plan" to downgrade CSR and open CSP. I didn't want to overlook something and lose points or generally goof it up
Appreciate the actual math breakdown. I agree. And is the main reason for my switch!
Not sure if I'm missing something, but since you had the CSR, my read is that you are not eligible for this CSP promo. Is there some work around to this?
Thanks for the DP. The surprised manager's name gotta be Sleepy Joe since the AF has been waived for more than 3 months when signing up in branch even before this 100K offer.
Was the $50 grocery credit written anywhere before. I went to the branch in June. Did not get any paperwork. The card came with an agreement and only the $95 annual fees were waived for the first year was written on that agreement. The 100K points and the $50 credit were not mentioned any where. I did get the 100K (80 + 20) and the $50 but how do we now know that the $50 is gone till one of the new applicants charges their card for a grocery purchase and does not see the corresponding credit applied?
Online and in branch offer were different before 17th Jun, branch offer was 20k less than the online offer so only 80k though one year fees was waived off which was $95 (almost equalto 10k points), after 17th Jun they matched branch offer as online offer, so if opened ur card in branch before 17th you will only get 80k points. Though you can try to talk to their representative to see if they can adjust the point.
It was definitely after 6/17, it was during the week of 6/28. I'll try downloading the app and see if that changes anything.
You certainly can try to download the app and see but I doubt it makes a difference. If you do not see 100K pts after you met $4K spend threshold, there may be an issue. Wait for your next statement and see how many points actually post to your account. Maybe some early birds require Chase to manually post the extra 20K points by the billing cycle, or maybe the UR system worked differently for different accounts. We will have no definite answer until receiving the next statement. Since your applied within the 100K promotional period in branch, one phone call to Chase can easily rectify the issue.
Thanks, I'll download the app and wait until the statement hits and then of nothing, we will call!
I currently have a 5+ year old CSP and not within 5/24. Is the right play for me to downgrade my CSP to anything else (I currently hold the freedom card that doesn't have rotating quarterly bonuses so maybe I can downgrade to the one that does?), then open a new CSP? Will that work for me?

Interesting. I do not remember seeing the first image in my paperwork at all. I only remember looking at what you have as image 2. I can't find those now as I likely shredded them already.

Yes, it was def written in when I opened the card in branch Saturday. My banker said entire thing extended including credit, it appears she was mistaken. Glad I didn't wait.

You are missing something
I will be eligible for this CSP promo after I downgrade my CSR (and will thus have no active Sapphire products). It has been 48+ months since I have received a Sapphire bonus and will receive the 100k points after completing the MSR.
Other than that, there is not really a workaround. It's more just fulfilling the requirements.

You can't have any Sapphire card open currently (CS/CSP/CSR) + must be 48mo since any Sapphire bonus payout + must be under 5/24 (google "chase 5/24")
