I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Yes. It isn't deducted from the eligible purchases.
The $95 annual fee doesn't count as an eligible purchase. (However, in my case, the annual fee slipped through. YMMV)
Any purchases redeemed via the Pay Yourself Back program becomes an ineligible purchase as soon as it is redeemed.
Cash advances and balance transfers are not considered as purchases.
And, of course, any purchases that don't go through or are refunded are also ineligible.
There is also the gray area of "cash equivalents". Purchasing bit coin, for example, doesn't count as a purchase. Purchasing a gold coin, does count as a purchase. Purchasing gold certificates, I don't know (???). Buying McDonald's GC or Amazon GC is okay. Buying VISA or MasterCard GC, again I don't know (some have said that it's okay, but they appear to meet the definition of cash equivalents to me). But my opinion doesn't matter, it's up to Chase. https://www.nerdwallet.com/articl...at-to-know
How quickly do they credit you the $50 grocery credit? I spent more than $50 last month and have not seen the $50 credit. Do I need to do something to get the $50 credit applied to my account?
By far the most painful Credit card application ever. Had my credit frozen. Thawed it applied.
Got strange error. Called CS and they said they couldn't run my credit. I removed the thaw completely from Equifax as they recommended. Then was told they ran the credit and its good but I needed to speak to the fraud department. Was on old for 45 minutes and gave up. Called back today was on hold for 30 minutes and gave up. Had my wife apply for the card and she got weird email that a response will be received by mail in 30 days. Have excellent credit, credit history, income etc etc.
What gives lol by far the most painful experience just getting a card. Meanwhile applied for the Capitalone card posted on SD also and already received it, Chase stinks!

It varies, can be a couple of days and maybe a bit over a week. What store did you do your shopping, since some "discounts" stores may not code as such.

I agree. It took me 4 hours on hold to get thru to fraud department. But finally got approved.
Downgraded my Sapphire Preferred 15 days ago to Freedom unlimited and went to branch today to apply, took 30 mins, got it approved and showed up in my Chase App. Will get the card in 2-3 days. Didn't have to wait 30 days as I originally thought
quick question. My wife approved for the card last month and added me as the authorization user. Can I apply one on my own and also receive the bonus after meeting the spending limit ? Thanks in advance

You can keep your Ultimate Rewards points if the card you downgrade to is within Ultimate Rewards family such as Freedom cards.
I received my Grocery credit about 4 days after using my card at Ralph's. Aldi took a bit longer.
