I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Currently its 100k bonus both online and in branch -- waived annual fee is in branch only
80k was old offer before it went up
I applied in bank a month or so ago, and referred the wife. On my Chase app I always see the 80k and not the 100k points to earn. They gave me the 20k referral points right away and I used that 20k to pay yourself groceries a week ago. Now I reached $4k and I got a 80k bonus total on the app. My summary now is 102k current points total, 100 points earning on next statement and 125k points year to date. Does this mean that I got the promised 100k points or still just the 80k points?
You have just answered your own question. You will have 125K points year-to-date, which is 100K sign-up bonus points, plus 20K referral points, plus 5K reward points from your year-to-date spending.

That's what I thought so, but it's weird that the whole time they only say I earned 80k instead of 100k points after spending $4k even though my year to date points is 125k. Also, I wanna give you thanks for continously helping everybody on this thread. Repped!
I understand it is confusing. Chase is notorious for not updating the current offer on their portals especially when applicants sign up in-branch. It has been always showing 80K bonus points in summary although you finally will be receiving 100K points. Below is my personal experience.

It used to be 3 to 5 days, but apparently it seems Chase now takes a longer time to register the downgrade on their system and remove the canceled card from your profile. I always advise to wait 5 to 7 days. Some members here reported their product change request had taken as many as 9 days to complete. I wouldn't be surprised if the wait time is even longer by now.
I suggest you go to your branch again to sign up by this Friday which is the last day of the offer according to some members' email invite. As of today there is no sign the offer will be extended. I could be wrong though. If your banker says your are still ineligible to sign up, ask him to sign you up as a guest which means not to use your profile to apply. This is gonna be the same as you signing up online yourself without your profile, but doing it in-branch will get your $95 AF waived for the first year. Good luck!
Edit: Thanks to 1dash1 to sort out the references.
One last dumb question for ya! If it hasn't been more than ~3 days since I downgraded my CSR, will the guest profile method still work?
I would suggest you do so as the offer seems to expire tomorrow. Again, there has been no words about offer extension from Chase as of yet, so I assume it will end after tomorrow. Certainly there is a chance the offer will be extended though.
In case your application gets denied, you secure the offer by attempting to sign up before the offer ends. Then after you receive the official denial letter from Chase, call Reconsideration line 1-888-270-2127 and tell them you no longer a Sapphire cardholder. When Recon approves your app, they will go by the application date and you will still be eligible for the 100K points. When dealing with Recon, always confirm with Chase if you will be getting 100K points before actually opening the new CSP account. Keep in mind that if it doesn't work out as expected, it would cost you a hard inquiry.

my offer says "That's $1,250 toward travel when redeemed through Chase Ultimate Rewards®." I am assuming the 100,000 points is just a normal 100,000 points and doesn't have to be used towards travel?
oh looks like 100,000 points is just 1000 cash since there is a 25% bonus for travel usage
So I am assuming referral is better than applying in branch - 20K points (referral) > $95 AF fee waiver + $50 grocery credit (branch) . Is this correct ?
No grocery credit. That part of the offer expired last month.

Thank you for the detailed reply - this is super helpful. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes.

Do the CSP first, because you're running out of time on the 100K offer.
Also, check your eligibility before applying:

I don't think I can spend 8k in 3 months. I would have a hard time spending 4k in 3 months. LOL
