I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

I received bonus offer from CSR back in Jun2017 and downgraded in 2018. Few days ago I got approved for CSP and the new card is showing up in my account today. But I don't see any progress bar for new offer in chase mobile app, not sure if my new card has bonus offer?
Annual fee is posted on the first calendar day of the following month after your account is opened, and then every 12 months thereafter.
Basically if my AF will post on October 1st, and I downgraded on September 8th, is it worth calling to try and get like $25 back in prorated fee? Or since card was opened sometime in September will it be based on that and thus not worth it?

Chase doesn't approve new cards without the bonus so you're eligible if approved
Check the app -- select card then scroll down past account activity
Oh well, this is one tough question for me. It really depends on how much you value that $25 to $30. Some people believe it isn't worth the time to call Chase for a refund like that. And I am not sure if you will get a refund for one whole month which might actually value $46.

You have to receive the card and activate it before you can see any progress on Chase app a day later.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred comes with an annual membership fee of $95. Under the current promo, the first year's fee is waived if and only if you sign up in branch.
If you sign up online, you must pay the annual fee. The first year's fee will be charged on the 1st day of the month following your card opening. (E.g., the annual fee will be charged on October 1 if your card is approved in September.)
Wife applied in branch yesterday and the $50 grocery credit is no longer available it appears
I can confirm no grocery credit as well. Went into a branch on Sept 3. I know a rep there very well and she showed me her entire computer screen; everything there didn't indicate any more bonuses in branch besides waived AF.
So if i was denied online due to many credit pulls since i have been going thru a refi and also preqalifications for another purchase, etc, plus got denied for the citi card, is it worth trying to go in a branch to apply for this one?
Has your refi completed? If not, I suggest not to open a new credit card as of yet. A new card can affect your credit score, which plays a big role in getting a loan and the interest rate you'll pay. A quarter point will make a huge difference in a long run and gotta be worth more than what you get from the CSP bonus.

How long does it take for the 100k bonus to show up after spending the amount? I hope to use the points for pay it forward for the grocery and home Depot bonus category before it expires on Sept 30.
It will show up next to the transaction that passes the $4000 spending threshold on UR portal but will not be credited to your account until the statement closes for the month.

If you product changed 1 week, if you closed 30 days
But yeah, reading the last two pages of the thread would have told you that

How long after closing, say a chase sapphrire card, should I wait before applying for this new card? 2 weeks? 1 month?
