I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

Signed up in branch today, waived $95 yearly fee, 100k bonus, but yeah no grocery credit as folks have said. Sweet deal all around, just wish I could get a virtual account number to use in the meanwhile.
You can actually get the number from the banker and the expiration should be the month you signed up and 3 years from this year so it should be 9/26. However if you need the 3 digit code, you have to wait for the card as no one knows what it is. I was able to get my number immediately after approval.
If I downgraded my existing CSR, can I apply CSP 30 days later in order to get 100,000 bonus points ? Or I have to wait 48 months to apply either CSP or CSR? Thanks!
The offer of $50 grocery credit expired on 07/17. It has been replaced by $50 travel credit since then, and such credit is offered to all new applicants, both online and in-branch.
That makes sense, I can confirm I got the $50 travel credit

Oh interesting thanks for the heads up. Are you able to like...do anything with yours in this time period without the 3 digit?

I was able to use the chase app and import the card into my google pay wallet. That lets you use your phone in store to pay with the card before you actually get it.
In the chase app, go into the new card, and then scroll to the bottom and find "Digital Wallets" and you can import into Google Pay or Paypal wallets.
I'm still learning this card. I booked a hotel through ultimate rewards. It shows that it hit my card on the 6th. I got only 2x points rather than the expected 5x points. I was also expecting the $50 hotel credit to be applied. What an I missing, or should I call customer service to see what I did wrong?
The person you spoke to is clueless. One big mistake he said is you could apply any time for the CSP but no guarantees that you would be eligible for bonus. In fact, you can't get approved with no bonus. If you are approved as a new applicant, you must be eligible for the 100K bonus points assuming you meet the $4K minimum spend.
Most of these local bankers are clueless so I don't blame him. When speaking to them, you should first mention you are interested in signing up the CSP but want to make sure you are eligible to apply before heading down to the branch. Ask whether they can check your customer profile to see if you are eligible to sign up the CSP. You don't need to mention anything about the recent downgrade of CSR. They are clueless. Getting your CSR downgrade involved will only make things more complicated for them. If they see you are eligible, it means you are clear on Chase system. If not, wait few more days and try again.
Thank you for the reply. When I logged into my Chase account to schedule a phone appt w/ local banker, I received a phone call from their virtual banking department (not local) and they were useless. So, I scheduled an appt for tomorrow at local branch and will ask them to check my customer profile without mentioning the CSR downgrade.
Today, I did log into my Chase profile and see that I am eligible for CSP but understand that is not an indicator if my Sapphire history has dropped off their system.
Fingers crossed that I don't screw this up. I am not confident in myself.

5x points and an annual $50 hotel credit were features added on August 16th.
Cardmembers who signed up on or after August 16th are immediately eligible for the hotel credit. Older cardmembers become eligible on their anniversary date.
Where did you see it? Main menu, then Credit cards? (Not If you don't see what you're looking forā¦find a card). Or did you see it on the right of your Chase portal saying "You're already approved!"?

I applied two days ago after PCing my CSR a week ago. Got denied and called recon today. They told me the reason why i didn't get it is because I already received similar offer before but it has been 5yrs since I got the bonus.
Anyways, is it better to try the application again online using my sister's referral or just go to the branch?
Based on you info, I assume Recon did not approve you application. Did you tell them your last Sapphire bonus was received 5 years ago? And what did they say? Is it possible it is indeed less than 48 months?

Ahh ok thanks, mine doesn't list that new card as available to be added to any of the 3 services (thought the card appears on my list of accounts). Might take a bit I guess.

If you are a new cardmember who signed up after August 16, it could be that you only got charged for a holding reservation fee. See the complete webpage discussion:
