I mentioned the offer to my wife who is a Chase employee and she pulled it up on her internal system. It had a note that they had additional offers if you apply in a branch. You get the 100k points, 1st year AF waived, and a $50 grocery credit. So essentially an extra $145 for applying in the branch.
Wow. No brainer if you are eligible for the bonus.
I signed up for 80k offer just last week. Can I get chase to make it 100k?

What are the odds of getting approved for this card? Also, what company do they pull your credit file from? I am also curious if there are any credit card offers on SD that have better chances of approval? Thanks

As for odds of approval, that's tough to answer because there are variables. In general, this isn't Chase's premier card (that's the Reserve), so they are not as picky about who gets approved, but they are pickier than, say, the Freedom.
I recall reading that which credit bureau they pull from depends on the applicant's state of residence.

I read one of the earlier comments someone got $22k credit line, which is very nice. I'm a stay at home mom and listed income as otherā¦read on one of the blogs min income for a sapphire preferred approval is $30k so I listed my income of $31k. I got approved for $8400.
8-10 grand is more than enough, at least from my spending history. With 30K you could buy a car, not that is suggested to do.
The CSP isn't a credit card for everyone. You'll need to have good to excellent credit to have a chance at getting approved. Each bank has its own algorithm for credit approval as well as credit limit and APR of accounts. There are many reasons/factors to determine the approval odd from a card issuer such as income, average age of credit, credit utilization, and even your relationship with the issuer, your churning habit, etc. In addition, some issuers are sensitive to specific areas. For instance, Capital One is extremely sensitive to applicants' recent hard inquiries. Applicants with many recent hard inquiries will get rejected regardless of their excellent credit score. Chase's 2/30 rule and 5/24 rule is another one. AMEX will auto deny your application if they find you have been churning credit card bonuses. There are too many variables that affect the approval odd. Basically, no-fee cards are easier to get approved than the ones with annual fees.
In regards to credit report pull, Chase tends to pull from Experian.

Being an Authorized User on someone else's account does not count as having a Sapphire account and will not disqualify her from signing up the card for herself. However, being an Authorized User does count toward the "5", under the 5/24 rule.

I understand this is an amazing deal with the most fruitful sign-up bonus ever for CSP, and it is the main reason why I've been here trying my best to share my mere knowledge and experience to help out everyone get on the train. I want everyone can enjoy the free money as I did. But I urge those who are interested in the deal to be patient in the waiting game of product change. If you apply too soon, you will get rejected for sure and it will create a hassle for yourself. Calling Recon over and over again is surely not fun. We should analyze the recent data points from the others to make the right move and maximize the approval odd. DP's shows that recently the wait time for the completion of product change is 1 to 2 weeks. No one should try to apply before reaching the 7th day after the request of product change. The longer wait the better.
Thanks. Today is my 7th day since PC from CSR to FU. So I should be good to go now. Was thrown off due to a letter I got from Chase yesterday acknowledging the PC, and saying the new terms go into effect 11/1 (which was my CSR renewal date).
Keep in mind that 1 to 2 weeks is only the approximate time based on data points. Nobody knows how many exact days it takes to complete the product change. That's why I said the longer wait the better. If you apply before your old Sapphire account data drops off from Chase system, you will get denial and will need to call Recon to resolve the issue.

It is unlikely you'll be able to find a dealership that will allow you to buy a car for 30k solely on a credit card. They'll probably limit it to 10k. You could buy a tesla online completely with a credit card. But that will cost more than 30k.

Nice if you held off.. (I didn't)
In Branch would be a $800 bonus?
Online would be a $905 ($1,000 - $95AF) bonus?
