I downgraded my CS (regular) last week to Freedom Unlimited. Been a week or so. May try to hit up branch next week to sign up for this and get all the bonuses.
I remember one DP reported that he was able to do that, because chase does not allow applying another sapphire card while already have one, but can upgrade existing nor sapphire card?
If that is doable, 100k can be redeemed up to 15000, other than 1250, the difference of 250 can cover the annual fee for CSR if considering 300 travel credit.

My wife refuses to take the COVID vaccine. While she's in a high risk group and should take the vaccination, she's afraid to take the shot. With no end in sight for the COVID situation, it doesn't look like we'll be doing any travel for a while.
In regards to the $300 travel credit, we know any typical purchases coded as travel such as airline ticket, hotel, cruise lines, will earn the credit. What many people don't know is spending on campsites, trains, buses, toll bridges and highways, parking lots and garages will also be eligible. Just beware of purchases on theme park tickets as they could be coded as entertainment instead of travel. Similarly, meals eaten at a hotel but not charged to a room will be coded as restaurant/dining instead.

MDPMDD is not the same as submitting two applications at the same time. It is one, followed by another.If your second application is found ineligible (for whatever reason), it will simply be treated like any other ineligible application. It will be tossed out. Nothing will happen to your first, approved, application.

For myself, I can easily bankroll $4K into my electric, cable TV, and cell phone accounts (I take care of 2 homes, my family's and my mother's) and many times more than that if I wanted to delve into property taxes, insurances, income taxes. And that doesn't even touch any of the gift card options.
Not trying to convince you to do something you're not inclined to do. Just pointing out that meeting the $4K spend threshold may not be so monumental a task as it seems.
