Got the email today about their new "Free Whopper w/ CH'KING Purchase" offer.

Tried it out and this has to be one of the best Chicken sandwiches I have had. So crispy it almost cut the roof of my mouth, yet still tender and moist.
The sauce was not the greatest. I thought it would be their King sauce but the order says savory sauce, so not sure.

They offer a hot and spicy filet sandwich as an option, but I stuck with regular. As far as I could tell the only upgrade for the deluxe at nearly double the price is tomatoes and lettuce. Go figure. I don't think it even comes with cheese by default for $8.19. Eek!

Go to your app or to Burger King [bk.com] online and add the offer first then add the chicken sandwich of your choice.

Prices may vary, but it was $4.69 for me.

As I wanted to check it out anyway, it was great to get an extra free Whopper sandwich.

P.S. I was not impressed by the new KFC Chicken sandwich as it did not look hand-breaded like their ads show. Pretty run-of-the-mill, IMHO.

On my bucket list still is the Popeye's Chicken sandwich. I know, procrastinate much? Just putting this out there because I have no way to honestly compare it to the new BK version.

IKR? But glad I got the offer. Makes for an extra meal later. Wish wifey wasn't vegetarian because they never give away Impossible Whoppers. Yesterday was $2 for one and that is the best I see, nowadays.

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for whopper Wednesdays!

Prices may vary is true, I paid $5.99., I got the deluxe, which costs 10 cents more.

I saw some people online saying this was better than the CFA sandwich, but I will definitely have to disagree with that.

I thought that it was alright, but not better than CFA. I can see myself ordering it again in the future if there's a coupon or deal for it, but I wouldn't pay 6 bucks for it, unless it came with a free whopper, like I got yesterday.

One last thing: I ordered the spicy version and I found it to be not very spicy at all.

BK beats Chick-fil-A, IMO. I have to say KFC was just about the same as CFA to me which is okay, but boring, just a thin layer of coating, not the thick, crunchy, tasty beading like BK. But I get that folks all like what they like.
I wonder why the deluxe is so much more here than the regular. In your spot, the 10 cents more makes perfect sense. Cheaper by far to just add tomato to the regular in comparison to make it deluxe here.

That reminds me, don't you hate when you (as a basic customer) mess up by not stating your order in the most value-oriented way and they don't bother to help you out? Love those who say it's cheaper to do it this way. Hook us up!

The regular is $5.89 and the deluxe is $5.99 where I'm located, which is New York area.

But I agree that everybody has their own tastes and preferences.

I also think that I might have been unlucky with the preperation and the staff at the BK I went to, because I keep seeing people talking about how crispy it is, but I didn't find that to be the case with mine.

I'll give it a try again next time and see how that one compares to the first one I tried.

Good luck, and thanks for your feedback. Reps.
Mine looked the same as in their pictures. I was very happy, since KFC's picture is the same as BK's basically, yet their filet was just like CFA's Thinly coated. Could be a YMMV by supplier and locations.

Yeah, the Popeyes sandwich is a game changer. You eat it and its like: "WTF have I been doing with my life". The chicken meat is thicker, the breading is perfect. It's just a perfect sandwich and they only charge $3.99. A garbage place like Shake Shack charges close to $8 for their chicken sandwich and the chicken is a little bit thicker than a Wendy's $1 chicken sandwich. I'm not sure who goes to a shake shack, I think you have to be an incompetent fool. laugh out loud (I only had their chicken sandwich when they had a free promo code to try it).

I've eaten a ton of the McDonalds chicken sandwich. You can make it better by removing the mayo and adding either barbeque sauce or add a combo of the honey mustard sauce and the buffalo sauce or tangy mustard and buffalo sauce. That's a real game changer. An enlightening moment. Applause

$4.69 at my location for the deluxe. Not impressed. The chicken was hard and dry. The Bun taste very oily.
The free whopper looked much tastier (although I did not eat it)

$4.99 in Norcal.
The app doesn't show spicy so had to ask to switch before they make it.

Potato bun tastes great, chicken is thick and juicy. Much better than the free whopper.

BK uses a brioche bun. McDonald's uses a potato bun.
My BK seemed like they didn't seem like they toasted the bun though. It seemed not to have that texture. That might just be from the sauce on both sides. Going back soon to try again and make sure. laugh out loud Next time it will be the spicy version for me. I just wanted a baseline the first time.

ymmv, but in my app I have a deal for "$9.00 Ch'King Medium Combo Meal for Two". That's 2x Ch'King sandwiches (reg, spicy, reg deluxe or spicy deluxe), 2x medium fries, and 2x medium drinks. It's practically BoGo for the meal where i'm from.

When I checked the app around noon on 6/3 the deal was for $8, but later that evening it was changed to $9.

Also there was a "Ch'King & Whopper Family Taste Test Bundle" for $15. It consisted of 3x Ch'Kings, 3x Whoppers, and 3x small fries.

They also have delivery options for $11 for the 2 combo meals and $20 for the family bundle.
