Quick note: Not as good of a deal as the m17, but if you got the AMEX offer, you can get this for under <1500. I think the 3070 is the max powered (140W) one in this.

Well yeah...
It was a serious question. Size/weight doesn't affect portability for me, so the answer wasn't obvious. While you might consider carrying a 10lb laptop an issue, I may not see a problem with it.

I see so many more 15" deals, so I am genuinely curious as to why. Is it just the portability factor?
it sounds odd but 17" is massive, and is way less portable along with worse battery life(generally). So not so worth it, in the past, 17" was more required because it had much better performance but not anymore

Do gamers really prefer 15.6" screens over 17" ?

I prefer 17' if I want to stream videos while in bed but most people that would use a laptop for gaming would plug it into a monitor anyways so the size of the screen becomes irrelevant.

I prefer 17" for added visibility when gaming. When gaming, I would never expect to run simply off battery. Ideally I'm trying to be plugged in to boost all power/performance options. My 17" msi fits easily into my daily driver backpack.
What is the top tier battery life on a gaming laptops nowadays?
