Depends on what you're going to be using the monitor for. The Acer is only 1080p vs the 1440p of some of the monoprice monitors and if you're looking for gaming then the LG looks like it only has a 60hz panel vs the 120 to 144hz refresh of the monoprice panels.
my kids using for normal gaming but i share with them watch movies.

Its a dice roll for sure.

However, some might just not like the panel tech (VA) while others do.

If its free to return, there's little risk beyond inconvenience.

That said, although I'd like a newer VA to replace my 8 year old one, I think i'll just keep waiting for the sub $1000 42" OLED rumored to be coming around year end.
I assume guaranteed means free return shipping if flawed like 1 dead pixel? Good deal on the 49" compared to the expensive $1480 MSRP Samsung g9. IMO, at that g9 pirce or if one can save up for it, they should get a hdmi 2.1 oled. It is a nice tv and excellent for gaming. No need for 2 separate purchases of a nice tv and a gaming monitor.(UW is immersive but oled PQ is far superior). Then use a cheaper 4k 32" monitor for productivity along with a laptop screen (if using laptop). 27" QHD looks pixelated after trying 4k 32" text clarity. And I remember the 34" IPS 3440 x 1440 UW I end up selling had less vertical space.

Would this be pointless to get a 34" or 35" from a 32" 4k? What about just going to the Dell 38"?

I have had the 34inch Dark Matter for about 6 months. I ran into an issue where I unplugged the power cord and when I put it back int it would not deliver power. Eventually, I got it to work with a lot of jiggling of the cord. I wrote Monoprice and they are sending me a replacement unit. I was already thrilled with the performance of the monitor and now I am pretty content with their level of customer service.

The only thing I hate is there is this blue LED that blinks when it is asleep. A piece of painter's tape I colored black and stuck over it solved this.

The control panel for the settings is a bit 1990's but it is easy to get once you have done it a few times.

Oh sorry, one last thing. I had to buy a Thunderbolt 3 compliant USBC to DP cable to get 144hz out of it. My hub was limiting it to 50hz via HDMI and through a little work I figured it all out.

I have two cables coming out of my MacBook pro which is a little annoying but I guess that is the price of admission to get the advertised 144hx refresh rate.

Not really a gamer, is it worth the upgrade to the 34" from the 35"?
I see better response time 8 to 4ms, worse curve 1800r to 1500r, better frequency 100hz to 144hz.
FYI, 1500R has more curvature than 1800R.

1500R = 1500 mm radius. 1800R = 1800 mm radius. The smaller the radius, the more curvature the monitor has.

Just the MacBook air M1, using USB C, I don't like dongles that's why I eventually returned the LG( try to just use one cable for all.)
That Dell you are using, as far as I know, does not have USB-C port, just USB 3, DP and HDMI. The LG does. The problem is supposed to be with the USB-C direct connect from a M1 Mac.

I paid 348 for my new Dark Matter 34. It is great.. however, I have some envy that you can get the 43 inches with similar but slightly lower specs for 499. That is a big upgrade for 150 bucks.

Like I mentioned earlier, I am in the middle of them swapping mine out. However, my issue is at the connection point of the power cord, not the monitor itself. No dead pixels and it has performed well.

I am lucky I have the warranty.

Sorry my bad, it's a P2721Q, I was thinking of the 2415Q that I had before I switched to LG. And I do know a couple people that ran into the same USB C issue with LG/M1 macs. The Intel Macs normally works.

There are a lot of reported problems with connecting the M1 Macs to external monitors (sleep/wake issues or not detecting the monitor which seems to be a handshake problem) and seems to be a hit or miss depending on the monitor.

So, perhaps the lesson is no brand monitor is guaranteed to work with these M1 Macs unless someone has actually used that combination successfully.

Using a TB, DP or HDMI converter/dongle seems to work without issues!

Yeap. So far what I am seeing is the new Dells are working better than LG. Probably should buy from somewhere with easy return.

With dongles I think most monitors wouldn't have problem.

Is the price after taking the cashback into account? Cause I see 349 and not 299 for the 34 inch monitor
