I bought this on another recent sale. Didn't like it, so returned back to Amazon. First, it couldn't repair a battery that has apparently died sitting in my car that wasn't driven in a few months, even after left plugged in for 3 days. Second, it made a constant humming noise, that while faint, irritated the hell out of me. Third, the unit looks cheaply built, with thin cables and clamps that are rather too small.

That "Repair" button is for low voltage ONLY; not for desulfation .... When a battery is discharged so low that THIS charger will not engage, it trickle charges to bring the voltage back up to where this charger can engage.

I bought this on the deal a few weeks back. It worked great to bring my completely dead car battery back to life. Now I can start/drive without having to jump the car everytime.

I had to use the low voltage repair mode.

As pio said, 6 amps instead of this 2amps, 6 and 12 volt, but also supposedly has a high frequency repair/desulfator option that having doubts, I am just about to see if it works on some 6v golf cart batteries.

A lot of cheap imitations of CTEK and Noco chargers, both of which are UL Certified.

FYI, this is only a 2 amp charger, so depending on your battery capacity, it could take days to bring a dead 12V battery back to life. And some batteries can be too dead to bring back. It should work well as a battery maintainer (aka trickle charger) for a motorcycle, boat, tractor, or hobby car, that sits for long periods without use (e.g., over the winter), but for recharging a dead batter, don't expect instant results. For $15, seems worth trying. I have a jumper from Gooloo that has served me well for 5+ years, but that's my only experience with this brand.

These chargers are not for charging (most) empty batteries. They are meant to use as a top off and keep full system when you park vehicles long term.
Lead acid should be charged at 10% of capacity. Only small motorcycle/atv/etc batteries would be charged at good rate with this charger.

50/50 on this one, Gooloo seems to be a decent brand for chargers and the like but I generally like the battery tender brand instead, I've got no less than 4 of the little .75A wall wart versions in almost constant service. For the price I'll give this one a shot.

For what's it's worth, my noco genius 2 WILL send enough voltage to a completey dead battery and will bring back a dead battery if conditions and age of battery isn't totally smoked.. I'm sure other cost alternatives mine was $60 but for that feature alone I'll gladly pay for a nice quaulty also with a 5 year limited warranty it's worth it. Only downside is the 2amp charging rating. Other than that u wouldn't trust a name this $20 charger left unintended for long periods of time. Noco genius 2 has been on my beater car that gets driven 1-2 times a month and Zero issues. If I where to get a another, it would be 10amp or more from Noco
