So is the battery brand new? Seems like a great deal for the battery alone.
I would like to know this also

I would be very happy if someone can tell me whether a 2.6Ah 40V from an Ryobi Expand-it trimmer would work in this mower...I would imagine less run time?

At this price I'm tempted to buy 2 for the batteries and keep the second mower as a spare....

My Ryobi lawn mower 40v battery is malfunctioning after 2 summers of use. I was even careful to store it inside during the winter and store it at the recommended charge. Luckily it has a 3 year warranty. We will see how difficult the warranty process is... FWIW, my string trimmer 40v battery is still doing just fine.

You can buy brand new batteries for ~$100 on ebay so the mower alone is effectively costing you ~$60.

Even with only a 1 year warranty, you cant beat that. I've had the original 40v mower for 6 years now and am very happy with it.

even if I don't get this one and look for "blemished" for better warranty, how long will this battery give you before dying(to recharge)?
I'm trying to move to all battery equipment instead of gas, I have a Ryobi trimmer, and pole saw as well as a fogger I was using at work during Covid. So I have a few of the 18v batteries that easily swap for those, easy to pop in and out to extend time but I'd hate to do the front yard and then not have juice to do the back. Do these last at least an hour on full charge?

Good price but…don't do it if it doesn't have the full manuf warranty (5 years). Reliability on these is awful. I've had one Ryobi fail three times after 1.5 years. Bought this exact model as replacement and it was bad out of the box. Factory authorized repair shop told me he can't keep up with failed Ryobi electric mowers.
I disagree. I've had one since last June and it's been flawless.

Bought one like this with 5ah battery last year. Works without any problems except the left side bagger hook sometimes comes off. It's plastic may not last long.
