But can you text your friends under water with a hopro?
Text works under water? I never try, so it's an honest question.
iPhone and GoPro are for different market. For me, the ability to record under water is NOT the only reason to get GoPro. GoPro has good mounting options ( though costly ) which are more suitable to action camera ( does not have to take a beating ) than any phone. Of course my 2 cents.
After buying and getting rid of GoPros every few years for the past 10 years, I've come to realize the solution is actually just a good waterproof case.
All modern iPhone cameras are strictly better than any GoPro camera unless you need niche shit like 360 degrees. Unless you're expecting the GoPro to take a beating, there's no reason not to just have a phone inside a waterproof housing such as AquaTech AxisGO which are legit underwater equipment: https://aquatech.net/collections/axisgo
Case + cheapest iPhone like the SE = Better than anything the GoPro could ever capture, plus you can use it as a phone and post or go live underwater
Vibration on a motorcycle will kill a iPhone camera rather quickly

The touchscreens for the phones and gopro don't work under water. Heck, even if they're just wet they won't work. It can be an issue on the GoPro if it switches modes randomly it's hard to switch it back because the screen is wet.
Ibwaa never able to buy anything using brickseek. I have impression that the Walmart employees take it before customers when it is too cheap.
When I used to work at Office Depot 15 years ago, employees (especially managers) always get first dip on clearance items. One of the few blessings working there.
This time i was successful in securing one of these brickseek deals. Nearby store said limited quantities but I still went to check and bought 2 of them.

Using a phone doesn't work if you need extended recording (e.g., 2 hrs for sports). The phone will get way too hot and shut down.no

I would rather risk a $200 GoPro than a $1100 phone but maybe I am just crazy.

That said, I love my gopro hero (4 i think).
Yeah I forgot to add those in as well. They were out of stock at my store but they had them on display and on clearance.
Last time is Nitendo gift card and continue to cancel my order.
