It says that you also have to purchase ring chime to get it to alert inside on something other than your phone. I'm very invested in the Ring ecosystem, but I'm not upgrading my doorbell if I have to buy their chime.

I was just about to buy when I read that this will not work with your existing doorbell chime. It says that you also have to purchase ring chime to get it to alert inside on something other than your phone. I'm very invested in the Ring ecosystem, but I'm not upgrading my doorbell if I have to buy their chime.
If you have any Echo devices it can use those for chime and show video on the Shows as well
