it's called "Amazon Sidewalk"- it's a real thing. you have to affirmatively opt out if you have any Amazon smart home products.

They have access to my garage, not my house. Only when they have a package in their hand that I've specifically requested be put in the garage.

But the real issue is, you're joining a mesh network of devices. That adds a weak spot to your home network and potential access to your internet and all of the information going in and out of your home
