If you buy this make sure to opt out of Sidewalk; Amazon is turning on wifi Sharing on their devices by default, to turn off you need to opt out.

it's called "Amazon Sidewalk"- it's a real thing. you have to affirmatively opt out if you have any Amazon smart home products.

I was just about to buy when I read that this will not work with your existing doorbell chime. It says that you also have to purchase ring chime to get it to alert inside on something other than your phone. I'm very invested in the Ring ecosystem, but I'm not upgrading my doorbell if I have to buy their chime.

If you have any Echo devices it can use those for chime and show video on the Shows as well

I heard the google nest is better in terms of reliability and not missing out on recording. It also has better connection than this.
