Got the 199 kit (and the 99 2 batt&tool kit) the other weekend. Didn't think I'd ha e a use for the sawzall, but dang, been lopping all sorts of brush and branches with a single battery like they were twigs. Have a few old yew bushes that will finally meet their maker this weekend.

Impressed by the power these tools have.
No, ryobi tools are very good quality. They just get promoted tons here.
this set has the smaller batteries. large batteries are good for high drain devices as they will last longer between charges (Note they are not stronger, just last longer), but smaller batteries have the advantage of being light weight which is very helpful if you are using a tool continuously or working overhead.

ryobi offers the best bang for the buck for homeowner grade power tools, plus they have the largest selection of tools.

How is the vacuum? Mine hardly sucks anything. Was so disappointed.
It is a battery powered vacuum. That's all. Seems about the same as the dustbuster from the 1990s, but with longer battery life. It won't replace a shopVac or upright with power cords. It needs to be cleaned out after every non-trivial use. The provided battery has always worked fairly long - to the point where I forget to charge it.

I am comparing it to my battery powered Black & Decker, which sucks (in a good sense) a lot better.
