Bought one 10 months ago, battery just died. Dyson went straight by the book and told me to buy a new battery at $130. I didn't buy the Walmart extended warranty but bought it with my Costco Citi credit card so going through them to see if they'll cover the fix. So buyer beware. I have 2 other refurb corded vacuums that work just fine, the battery is the thing here that is unpredictable.

That having been said, this is the best deal you'll find on this vacuum refurbished. You want the fluffy head if you have any sort of hard surface flooring, and that only comes with the absolute package

My battery died last month on this unit I bought from dyson in December, just a few weeks of warranty left (6 month). It's a great vacuum but if you get it I would opt for an extended warranty.

Amex credit cards which have yearly membership fee may be providing extended warranty of additional 6 months matching the manufacturers warranty even for refurbished items (It is Blue cash preferred in my case).

Got one with the 3 year warranty. Had my V8 absolute since 2016 and replaced the battery right b4 the warranty ended to take advantage. Loved the vacuum. I felt like.it was time to buy another one since I have a 3 story home and this is perfect.

I got a refurbished V10 Absolute from Dyson through its eBay store a year ago and here is my experience: The wand was having problem when removing from the canister. I contacted the customer support and received replacement parts. The description of my V10 is "used" for a refurbished vacuum. Refurbished vacuums from Dyson are known for being returned with sign of scratches. My V10 worked out of the box with little scratches on the canister and the fluffy head, but if you are looking for a "like new" version…then looks elsewhere. The canister and fluffy head were cleaned when I received them…only cosmetic scratches.

Bought this from Walmart but it was direct from Dyson. My unit has been pretty good, battery life is great although I never use the max setting. I did purchase the warranty as some people in the last thread stated their battery wouldn't last long on the low setting.
