Although made for Verizon, this is the US version of this phone and is unlocked so it's compatible with most major US carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon
So, bootloader locked, meaning you can't update the phone with different firmware or updates after December.
It's not supposed to be unlockable. That's one of Verizon's big thing...otherwise you could get free tethering.

Look at all the previous verizon unlocked pixel 3 deals recently. Other people also confirmed that verizon make the bootloader unlockable when they unlock the network. The phone is brand new in sealed verizon box. I guess verizon system automatically do that for these pixel 3 clearence.
if only it had expandable storage. it takes great photos and video but no where to store it lol
Right?? Why do virtually no phones have SD slots anymore? I don't want to pay a monthly fee for cloud storage when I can just get a 128gb SD card for $25...

I think Pixel 3/XL still has free unlimited original quality cloud storage until Jan. 2022. After that, it will still be unlimited but only "high quality."
Just figured I'd mention it, even though I do agree that these phones should have had an SD slot.

Eh it's not too big of a deal to either get a cloud storage service or hook it up to a PC and transfer them to a HDD once a year.
It sucks but most manufacturers are going the way of no expandable and no headphone jack
