Best Buy has it for the same price but also includes a digital code for $20 in Razer gold, making it the better retailer for this deal. Retail on this headset is $199.99 and the next best deal is a refurbished model for $99.99 on Amazon. This is the lowest a new version has been in some time. If you were planning on using Razer gold anyway, the Best Buy purchase ends up being only $10 more than a refurbished model when you factor in the gold. Best Buy did have it at that price for My Best Buy members only initially, but it looks like they may have opened it up to everyone. If not, membership is fast and free.

I've had this headset for a couple days. The surround is good. The volume controls are good. The in-app customization is solid. It looks like they've added the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the haptic feedback since I see a slider for it in the app. This wasn't present when the headset released and was initially a knock against it in the reviews. The main difference between this and the normal Nari headsets is the haptic feedback. It's nice and I've enjoyed it so far, but it only really responds to bass. It's good for explosions and gunfire, but you'll likely want to do some test audio to get the combo of speech, gunfire, and explosions to blend the way you prefer. If you don't tune them you will likely miss some detail you would prefer to have. If you're watching someone with even a mildly deep voice streaming you'll feel it kick a bit while they talk. Fortunately you can make profiles in the included software and easily set it so it's only on when gaming, which I'll likely be doing. It's neat, but it needs to be more refined to become mainstream. Honestly, the way it drains the battery at even half of its effectiveness it's much more suited to a wired headset. If this turns you off of haptic feedback but you still like the headset overall, get the regular Nari wireless model and save some cash.

Compared to my Logitech G533, I've noticed if I wear either for 30 minutes+ my ears are less sweaty in the G533. The Logitech models uses a layered cloth mesh that's breathable. The cooling feeling on the leatherette cups on the Razer are nice, but can't make up for the lack of breathability. I've worn the G533 for 1-2 hours with no sweating under the cups, but 30 minutes under the Nari Ultimate and it's getting a little warm. Also of note: if you plan to use this for VOIP for work (or personal) as well you may run into complications depending on the application you're using. The microphone is pretty decent; the reviews blasting it likely didn't bother tuning it in the Razer Synapse app, the audio panel in their game, or both. Where it gets tricky with VOIP is if your program is looking for one audio selection for BOTH your microphone and earphones. The G533 would show up as one and worked with our specific Cisco software where I work, but the Nari Ultimate separates into 3 audio items: the microphone, normal audio, and THX surround audio. Maybe there's a workaround I haven't found yet, but it looks like the Nari won't be pulling double duty for me.

how is the mic? I got the essential and while I like everything else, the mic was a little annoying and not as good as my steelseries wireless pro or logitech 933.

If the mic is good, I might just trade up to this version. The essential seems great in every other way.

I think my only issue is the YMMV on quality with razer...I always feel like I'm rolling dice when I purchase their products.

I got this a year ago, and the mic was absolutely horrible. Sounded like I was talking to someone through a tin can. Tried every single thing their support and guides suggested, ended up selling it to a friend who said he didnt care about the mic (but nevertheless tried to use it, and he had the same problems).

In the process of trying to debug, I found out that this was incredibly common. Razer's quality control is absolute trash and I don't think I'll be buying another product of theirs for a while.

It's possible you'll get an okay headset (and the feel of the headset is alright), but man did it make me steamed at how Razer never acknowledged the issue that many, many people experienced.

okay I've been burned on their mice twice 2000's - double clicks - diamond backs

keyboards once - 2013 blackwidow - switch broke early

headset once - 2016 tiamat - mic started disfunctioning

I just got the orochi v2 and the nari essential from the woot drop....

so I guess I should have just learned this a while ago.

Owned one of these for a little over a year, mic is consistently bad even with synapse tuning. People could barely hear me, even with my mic volume at max, others turning my volume up to 200%.. I tried everything I could find on Google to try and fix it. I ended up buying a Yeti X to supplement the mic feature. The haptic is a fun feature but I decided it wasn't really for me after a couple months, so I ended up turning it off to save power. THX Spatial sound kinda randomly goes from working to not and then back to working. At some point, my headset kept randomly turning off (power was full) but that also stopped happening one day.

After 11 months, a plastic bit above the ear cups cracked from strain (this is a design issue, found a few Reddit posts with other people having this problem and even their model on the website is wearing the headset in a way that shows strain on this particular piece) and getting them to replace within warranty was like pulling teeth, they kept claiming I "abused my headset". It was never dropped nor did it suffer any other damage. They did end up replacing it for me in the end, it took a lot of pushing back to get them to give in.

I do enjoy the the ability to change the ratio of game:discord or even browser:discord volume easily so that's my main positive point. The battery life is also great, I haven't run it completely out of power so far (though I keep haptic off) and I just leave it charging while I sleep every night. Just be prepared to have to deal with their customer support if you get one with anything wrong. Good luck!

Really terrible headset. Bought one in December and it would crackle all the time connected to both Xbox series x and PC. Sent it back and got a new one RMAed. Same issue. Also the mic was awful, didn't pick up any voices.

I have one of these and use it often for PC gaming. I was worried from mixed reviews but took the risk on a previous deal. Overall I love them. The haptic feedback is exactly what I hoped for, adds a lot to immersion. Sound quality is solid compared to my sennheiser 598s. Very comfortable. I have not tried the mic so can't say if it's any good (single player gaming lately). So overall I'm very happy with them, fwiw

I own this and use it every day. I got it for $80 a year ago. The sound quality Is mediocre and you will end up turning the vibrations off after a week or two. If you are spending this much absolutely go another route. This headset is from 2018 which is way too old

this headset is terrible, i had it for a few months and ended up selling it and buying the arctis 7 wireless.

the headset is massive and heavy and can fall off if u move ur head too much, the range is almost 1/4 of the steelseries, and the mic sounds cheap. the audio quality is decent tho

Bought it a couple months a go. Really great headset, the feel, quality and sound is really great, although I enjoy it more listening to music than playing.

The only cons are that it still uses micro USB port and it has no Bluetooth connection.

Also, check your local listings, Razer resell value is really and could find new ones for less than this price.

I love the headset and haptics but the mic is basically from the Kraken series. I went ahead and bought a USB mic to replace it.
