I have this for 6 weeks already. I like it more then I thought I would. I replaced CPU fan with vetroo V5 and rear fan with be quiet 92mm PWM. Extra $40 and definitely worth doing long term for extra airflow. GPU is mining when idle for 29.5 MH with -200core, +650mem,70 power limit and 53% fan speed (custom curve in msi afterburner). GPU temp 53C.

Clean windows install is a must.

Add the AMEX $120 off $599 and this is pretty hot.

For everyone who bought or is buying this, you should watch the Games Nexus review of this card! ( Just search "Dell GN GPU" it's a POS and I bought it myself. If you going to keep just the card, I would flip it before the 1 year warranty is up or of its possible a better heatsink and fan for the gpu. And I noticed there are so many of these Dell oem broken cards selling on ebay!

Confused by the "max supported" statement, can you not add more memory, would like to add at least another 8GB or possibly upgrade to 32GB

Could you link these perhaps and are they easy to upgrade? Haven't built my own PC before but it doesn't sound too hard..

Someone posted about the fan on an Amazon review..

"FYI if buying for a Dell, the plugs on the fans are different and Dell couldn't just do a straight pin out they had to twist the wires (typical Dell) so slight modification is necessary to plug into the board of the small form factor. You can just look under the sticker on both fans to figure out the correct wiring order, the boards are labeled thankfully but be careful you can fry your board or start a house fire!"
The wires are fine. I did the cpu cooler upgrade, changed exhaust fan to a 92mm and added a 120 and 80mm fan inside front(to add 120mm, had to relocate a hard drive caddy). These are not very upgrade friendly other then adding memory.

Great deal if you need a decent gaming box and don't plan on changing much, especially in this ridiculous market. That said, I could never bring myself to buy an OEM box for gaming. I've been building my own for 20 years now and have always had a better setup at the same price point.

The only difference from this one is the CPU, right? 11400 vs 10400? I think the RAM is the same but just runs at higher speed with the 11400.

I wonder if it's worth the extra $20...

Apologies, new to PCs...The product description says "8GB (1x 8G) 2933MHz DDR4 RAM (max. supported)." Does that indicate you can't add additional RAM (e.g., 8 additional to bring it to 16GB) or does that refer to something else?
Max reported is referring to the speed of the memory.

It would but you need a better power supply. The 360 watt in this isnt enough

Max supported speed is 2666 on the i5 processor. I7 you can go with 2999(pc3200). The i7 ships with pc3200 but its throttled down by motherboard

How easy Dell's return?
I ordered XPS 8940 i5-10400 and it's being shipped. I would like to return it and get this model instead.

Can anyone speak to what kind of gaming this machine can handle as is? What upgrades, if any, would you need to make it a capable mid-range gaming pc?

The proprietary PSU got me a lil turned off by the system, whats wrong with standard ATX format? No way to upgrade it. Everything else looks okay for the cost.

Is it just the shape, or are the connections non-standard as well?
