This a mechanical watch while the Apple Watch really isn't a watch. It's a mini computer on your wrist. There's just no comparison.

The Khaki is a unique watch in both stying and dimensions. I have 7"-7.25" wrist, and often wear 42mm divers. I tried the 42mm khaki field automatic for a while. Loved the style, but it was just too large for my wrist. The larger face/lack of outer bezel and long lugs make the Khaki wear so much larger than the measurements would suggest. It is the same reason the 38mm Khaki wears so well. I ended up selling off the 42mm and getting a 38mm khaki. It is just about perfect. I have found 39mm-40mm to be my sweet spot for most other watches.

I have a hard time noticing the difference between 40 and 42 while wearing it and they're not side by side. On some of my watches I feel might be big I've played around with different bands that make me think it's smaller.

But I agree this would be a steal at 38mm.

Good price on a decent brand. Hamilton is owned by the Swatch group but they make some really nice looking field watches with ETA movements.

Good call, the pictures are a bit misleading. I've seen this watch in person and the canvas is definitely more of a tan/sand color, rather than the lighter cream color as it appears in the 2nd and 3rd pictures. The first picture is also a bit strange as it doesn't correctly capture the tan/sand-colored indices that closely match the strap.

I have the black dial version in 42mm as my everyday watch and I LOVE it. 2.5 years with no maintenance yet and it's +/- 2 seconds per day.

Seriously though- as long as it's not a crazy gaudy watch, a nice well laid out watch that is on the thinner side still look good even at 42mm on a small wrist. Sometimes it's not the watch size but how far the lugs hang out. IMHO....

This is a terrific, iconic tool/outdoor watch. I've never been able to get over not having a factory warranty on a high quality watch, however. Maybe not so much for Hamiltons, but there are respectable avenues to source authentic, non-gray-market watches out there at below-retail prices, with legit international manufacturer warranties--ex: Seiya-san of Seiya Japan for Seiko, Orient, Grand Seiko and Citizen.
