Well yeah I kind of got that this wasn't a necessarily true-to-life yoke. I'm not a pilot, have never flown a real plane and probably never will, so I won't ever be comparing it to the real experience. But flying with the regular keyboard in FS2020 is a real pain, so even though this is not near the best you can get I think it's still going to be a major step up, at least if those reviews I found on youtube are credible at all. I guess I'll see when it gets here. I don't play a whole ton anyway, so it feels like I'm already spending a whole lot more than I thought I would.

I went with the honey comb alpha because of the 360 degrees of rotation. This one is only 180 degrees. I am not an expert, but i am happy with my choice. i also have an extra NIB if any one in dallas is looking for one. msrp no tax

I have one of these - Saitek branded from over 10 years ago. For $150 it is an okay value as it comes with the throttle quadrant. However, I use X-Plane and MSFS 2020 frequently and find that I stopped using this yoke in favor of the basic Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for a few reasons. The setup and take down is a pain if you plan to use at your regular desk. The clamps do not fit with most desks with a drawer or pullout keyboard and it takes up a lot of space. You also do not get any sort of rudder control as you do with the Extreme 3D Pro through the twist of the stick. I do recommend getting rudder pedals (instead of using the twist) and I built my own smaller throttle quadrant that takes up less space on my desk. Another issue with the yoke is that the quadrant connects through a proprietary connector - so you can't use it with another yoke/stick. The add on quadrant Logitech sells is USB, but the paired version is not. If you are just getting into flight sim start with a basic stick and rudder pedals and skip the Logitech yoke. If you really want a yoke for realism save up for the Honeycomb. A lot of GA aircraft use a stick not a yoke, for example Piper Cub, Diamond aircraft, and Cirrus.

same here, extreme 3D Pro is also much quicker to setup and put away, great for those times when the flight bug bites and you just want to do some landing challenges
also with extreme 3D pro, you can control the rudder too, whereas you need to buy a separate rudder pedal if you want a yoke

Honeycomb alpha is a better yoke/throttle... of course, they are out of stock in most place and do cost a bit more though with the added functionlity - it is a bit of a wash.

This actually doesn't go 180 all the way, that's why it's bad. 180 would have been great.

Honeycomb goes 180, not 360.

Far less appropriate. It would work I guess. But navigating tight situations would not go great. For that a combat flight stick or HOTAS will do you much better.

Thank you for the correction lol. I was told there wouldnt be math =) This why i don't fly real planes. The HCA just has such a better feel to it. This is still a solid deal and is a great upgrade from a keyboard/mouse/gamepad.

If you're gonna spend $100+ on flight control you are interested in realistic controls. Otherwise if you're just playing FS2020 for occasional fun you'd be just as well off with a $20 Logitech joystick.

Alternatively get the Airbus one if you want a pro feel but don't want to spend the cash on honeycomb or don't have the space. The honeycomb is big and bulky so I totally get that perspective.
