Not according to various sources. https://www.urlhasbeenblocked.com...model.html [urlhasbeenblocked.com]

EDIT: Since the article was blocked, just Google it. Articles reference the stealth silver model with a metal keyboard deck and plastic bottom while the titan model has a plastic keyboard deck and bottom. Both models have a metal lid.
I have the stealth silver (purchased/received a few days ago for $180) and the keyboard deck is now plastic with a plastic bottom with a metal lid. So, I think the article might be correct back then, but the current manufactured stealth silver (Made in Vietnam - December 2020) is now different - is rounded and mostly plastic with a metal lid.

That's what I was thinking. Any previous advantage of the $180 over the titan $152 is really not there anymore, outside of maybe the rounded edges. Of course the titan 32gb isn't in stock, so there's that.

Overall, a nice value chromebook for $180. That screen is really nice and I like it even more than the 13.3" QLED I had used.

Thanks! Wow this is manufactured Dec. 2020. Hopefully they fixed the hinge issue.

That is my hope - will probably keep given the quality of the build and screen.

I've the Chromebook plus v1 which is painfully slow. Is this any better?
Mines still going strong.

I dont think this one is much better, and is worse battery life and a worse screen.

You may want to go to a higher end cpu.

EOL = End of Life? Interesting... I had no idea that Chromebooks expired. We have two at home, one old and one a little newer. How do I check their EOL?
The chromebook itself doesn't expire, what expires is support from Google when it comes to OS/security software updates.

How's the keyboard on this thing? Getting it for someone who is a heavy writer. Would you recommend for someone who's just about to start college?
