Enjoyable book. Season 1 of the series was reasonably accurate, but was still interesting to get into some of the characters heads a little more like only a book can.

Watching the show for the third time through. Literally turned on season 5 episode 1, looked down, and saw this post a few seconds later lol.
I'm probably half way through the first book now and have enjoyed it a lot. If you don't know anything about this series other than the random ad screen that pops up on your Fire TV or tablet, I highly recommend checking them out. The books have won awards and the show is highly addictive and well made. It originated on the Syfy channel but was cut due to production costs. Luckily, Amazon picked it up and didn't skip a beat.
Great post, OP!

My local library has these available through Libby/Overdrive, but there's typically a wait list of a month or two - I guess enough people are reading through the series at any given time. I have worked my way through the first 5 or 6 books, and after some of the descriptions of the events of the first book, have no desire to see how it is depicted in the series. Otherwise, I would normally be interested.
