No. The MagSafe cases just have built in magnets to make it easier for the magSafe charger to attach to it. the Magsafe included is their new wireless charger.

Man, just ordered a Spigen Mag Armor for $20 off ebay. I don't need two cases. I could not resist this though. Maybe I'll try to resell the Spigen

The case on Apple is $49.99 and the Charger is $39.99 so this is a good deal. I just dont get the ergonomics of the mag safe charger, is it like a charging pad with a magnet?

no, the iphone has a built-in Qi charger that is inside the phone, the magsafe case just has extra magnets to make sure the charger doesn't fall off.

if you use a standard case, the magsafe may or may not stay on depending on how thick the case is. i use a 1mm thin case and i can use the magsafe charger. when i switch to my slightly thicker 1.5mm rubberized case, the magsafe is very weak which means if i move it, the magsafe will fall off.

if you use no case (you madman you!), the direct contact magsafe charger will stick on like a glue, the case isn't a required component.

Does anyone know if this case would be compatible with a magnetic mount? Just wondering if the mount magnets I need to put on the back of the iPhone will cause too much interference to be able to charge.

They changed the silicone formula/feel. It's actually more silky than it is grippy. The old ones were better grip wise but these feel nicer

It's a silicone that feels like really soft rubber, I didn't use Apple one but hated that it would pick up dust like crazy so went for $25 Apple leather one deal at Best Buy when it was going on and so far like it the most.
