Not the same thing. I have both and these are superior. Larger, less likely to break apart, seem a bit denser, last much longer. For the tedious tasks these are used for, I won't cheap out anymore on the 100-pack of smaller no names. (That is, unless there are no-names that are comparable in size and quality than what I bought.)
Some of us care.
I bought like a 50 pack of those of eBay years and years ago. It wasn't the same. I still have like 40-45 of them somewhere.

Just bought two for a total of $3.96 with the multi-buy discount and 40% off using Discover and Discover Rewards Dollars. Note that you can just use a dollar of your Discover Dollars earned instead of paying for all of it. A good deal!

These work pretty great on a lot of things (Great for the whites of shoes), but even the Extra Durable ones don't last long, and these standard ones shred up/deteriorate really quickly. If they had the extra durable ones for the same price I'd probably go for it, though.

$3.55 for 6 pads at Menards if you have one local. Not quite as good a price Amazon, but close

And Menards has an ongoing 11% merchandise rebate that may bring the price to close to Amazon's/Target's with smaller portions. Smilie

I bought 100 off Amz for $10. Shipped directly from China and took forever but it was worth it to me.

the same as MrClean or the same - in the sense they are still sitting in a box?

IF it is the same, as the brand - can you send me a link to the item or seller?

People ate safely using them to remove surface stains from their teeth and before you come at me there are peer reviews. Google before screaming "it's bad for your teeth!"

If I could ask a dumb question, why would someone need so many? Do these lose it's durability after using it a few times? Also, can you use these to remove scuff marks off of painted walls?

I am usually all about the generic. But I tried the cheapo ones figuring melamine is melamine. Maybe it was the particular batch I got, but they pretty much disintegrated like a wet cupcake when I used them. I would literally need 3 or 4 to clean one tub, as opposed to one Mr. Clean being used for multiple cleanings.
YMMV

Your second question ties into the first because it lightly 'sands' the surface you are cleaning and breaks down what you are trying to remove (stains, dirt etc). Yes to your last question, that's what I mainly use it for and other tough mark ups on a hard floor.

They do slowly disintegrate with use.

As for scuffs on painted walls - they WILL take off the scuffs beautifully, but if you're not careful, it can also take off the paint. It depends on if it's a thin coat of paint & how hard you scrub. I use these on my baseboards all the time with great results.
