They definitely have their purposes, on hard things that have a strong enough hardness rating (tile and glass). They will say it's fine on countertops which is NOT the case. I learned the hard way on my first home
I use Erasers to clean the kitchen sink, remove stubborn stains on durable dishes (stainless silverware, glass), shine windows and mirrors, and just about everywhere in the bathroom. They will damage non-stick cookware, and it will make clear plastic hazy because of the abrasion. For scuff marks, it will take the paint off your walls if you scrub too hard.
