These things are terrible for the environment (synthetic polymers). Do not recommend.

These really do what they say. Recommend. All the finger prints on door jams, doors etc disappear.

Just get some generic melamine sponges — *exactly* the same thing, but you can get 100 for the price Mr. Clean charges for 2 of them.

Thanks mate, I might give it a try. I've loved the Magic Eraser I just received but if this Dr. Wow is anywhere close in quality, I'd go with that. I'm only hesitant cause I've seen other anecdotal evidence on here from other posters that say the cheap no brand melamine sponges, regardless of how much cheaper, aren't worth it compared to Mr. Clean.

The only generic ones I have ever tried were utter garbage. Thin and flimsy. Easily torn and broke apart with minimal use. I am sure there are better ones but you aren't going to get 100 equal quality to these for the same price. Period.

I see it listed at about $15 for 50 for that brand on Amazon. So even if it's half the quality of Mr. Clean, I think it'd be enough value for me.

+1, tried em all, and unfortunately, nothing comes even close to the Magic Eraser originals.

In my experience, I disagree. Yes, the quality of the generics is poorer, but I've never seen the Mr. Clean ones outweigh the price differential. The Mr. Clean ones maybe have two to three times the longevity of the generics but are more like 6-7x the price per unit. If you're in a small place like me, the generics are better because I can just toss one after using it rather than holding onto some dirty sponge. If I use the Mr. Clean one, I feel compelled to hold onto it after using it to clean my bathtub and then run into the issue of where to store a dirty melamine sponge. I'd rather just use one lower quality one and toss it.
