To get the 60K points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred, you need to spend $4000 in the first 3 months.
According to Chase, those 60K points translates into $750 in travel ( https://creditcards.chase.com/rew.../preferred )
What if I want straight up $ ?
How much does that 60K points get me in statement credit?
I am comparing apples to apples, since travel credit is useless to me.

.

Ah. If travel credit is useless to you then, yeah, my bad... a lot of these options are not great deals for you.

I read another website which said the rewards on the CSP is "complicated".
Complicated is not something that I want or need.
This Citi Custom Cash is simple. Spend $750 and get $200 or spend $1000 and get $300.

I don't personally feel it's very complicated. 60K signup points = minimum $750 on travel (and $1200+ for those of us who optimize by transferring the points to partners, but yeah, that takes more work). But a lot of the benefits on higher-end cards are geared towards folks who travel or want to travel, so for those who just want simple cashback bonuses and cashback ongoing, the cashback cards are definitely a better bet.

And more broadly, I hear ya re the benefits of simplicity; life is complicated enough, so -- while credit card points are a hobby of mine -- I understand and appreciate why many (most) other folks want to just keep things simple Smilie

Those CSP oints isn't real money since it can't be transferred to statement credits.
When it can, let us know.

Be aware that Citibank cards dropped rental car coverage - learned the hard way & got stuck with a $750+ deductible

I used in floor and decor ( spent 500$) and no other category used. Didn't get 5%. Is that should be under home improvement?

where do you find the reference of $300 bonus with $1,000 spending? I saw $200 bonus after $750 spent. please provide a link because I may not use a gift card to work my purchase so I would get $300 bonus back
