It is $500 per month so, $1500 per quarter same as Chase/Discover though not same as you can't do a big $1500 purchase.
Please read again. The max is 5% of your FIRST $500 spent than 1% thereafter each month. So $25.00 max a month for 5% reward then 1% on everything else for that month.
Hey any idea if Sams falls under any of these categories?
Sam's BJ's Costco falls under the category of wholesale clubs. You need to have that specific category to get something decent back from them. As far as I know this card doesn't.. I believe there is a quarterly category for that with the Chase freedom flex
So I can't just generate a virtual credit card number and use it for any online retailer?
Thanks.
I never used that service before but yes you can. Thanks for asking, I learned something new. Still don't think I'd bother, but it's there. I noticed it's available on the website but not in the app. Maybe I missed it but if it's not in the Citi app I'll probably never bother to access a virtual number again.
FYI Citi is one of the few large companies that are still choosing to continue doing business in Russia, thereby supporting the daily atrocities taking place, both in Russia (through political repression) and Ukraine, through their taxes paid to Putin's war machine.
One of the few large companies still doing business in Russia?
Plenty may come out with a statement, but they are simply not investing in NEW operations or just "scaling back" operations. Some sever ties completely, but if you actually believe Citi is one of the "few large companies" still doing business in Russia, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.
I had around a high 700s/low 800s when I got denied the first two times - was due to recent inquiries. I waited about 6 months after the second denial and just got approved in branch ($250 SUB for those interested in applying in branch).
