Have you tested this? Best Buy and Target don't let me buy Steam cards with gift cards

I have bought a few of these at Costco and get 10% off every day, and with digital delivery as well. If you have a Costco card, it will end up being a better deal, because this is 15% off the 2nd one, so between two it is only 7.5% off. Decent if you don't have Costco, but there are better deals out there.

Stopped by my local Target last night. Despite Target.com saying that the store was "Out of Stock" of Steam Gift Cards they had at least 40 of each denomination ($20/$50/$100) in the PC Gaming aisle.

Bought two $35 Nintendo eShop gift cards, got the codes via e-mail, and they cannot be redeemed. They are 19 digit codes, Nintendo only accepts 16 digit codes. Putting in the first 16 shows as invalid.
Last time I did this, I had a similar problem. Turned out there was more than one code. One code was for the purchase I had just made, another was the code I had to give to Nintendo. Once I had it sorted everything worked fine. EDIT: I had to enter the 16 digit PIN (which was alphanumeric), not the 19 digit card number. Not very clear.

Gamestop is increasingly cracking down on what TYPES of gift card to gift card purchases you can make.
For the time being, Nintendo (I personally purchased one less than 2 weeks ago) and Steam (according to user above) work.

But other gift cards have been hard coded in the register to NOT accept GS GCs. Found this out the hard way and wasted money to get Nintendy bux which I have little use for smh
When you say increasingly are you talking about anything recently? The last major change that I'm aware of is restricting the "cash equivalent" cards like gas, eBay, etc.

Not recently. I did some searching after I tried to do an "exchange" and apparently the ebay thing happened about a year ago.
A few years back it wasn't hard coded and was still allowed. Now it is permanently hard coded, according to different employees + stores I've gone to.

GameStop has a fresh injection of life thanks to retail investors and new people in charge, Ryan Cohen of Chewy being one of them. The company might not suck anymore in the future.

You bought steam gift cards at Costco and it gives you 10% off? I don't see it on their website. I have a costco card. Do I have to go in the store?

oh, not the steam ones, but the Nintendo, Roblox and Xbox ones. I don't know if I have seen them with the Steam ones at Costco. But the other ones they do have.
