Plus, your 13yo rolls up with the MSI gaming chassis and immediately gets some gaming cred. Pulling out this Lenovo (which, by the way, I do love this deal) screams "I got a hand-me-down laptop from my dad."
You can spend a little more and get even more laptop power, but in the 13yo, if I were going to drop $700 - I'd pick gaming over processing power.

I bought the last Thinkbook deal that came across and can only say DO NOT BUY IT.
Lenovo should be ashamed of themselves, the keyboard on this is USELESS. I can't type a single sentence without it missing keystrokes. The key travel and feedback is comically poor, my fingers hurt within minutes of trying to type on it. Even hunt and peck typists will find this keyboard challenging and fatiguing.
The screen is mediocre as well but far from the worst I have ever used, I could live with it if the keyboard didn't absolutely suck.
The battery is also MUCH smaller than what I am used to.
And to top that all off, the model I got was defective. It would randomly shut off if you tapped it in the right spot on the case so it 100% was going back.
Such a piece of crap. The only thing they got right was the case and the speakers for a laptop that size.
And Teams video conferencing or Edge/Chrome web browsing will suck down any modern laptop battery.
You MIGHT get 8 hours continuous use if you can find a model pushing 80wh with a low power screen and cpu.
Edit: I missed that there's no "e" in "june" in the coupon code. THINKJUNDEAL. Serves me right for manually typing it instead of copy/paste.
