I bought these in store for $15. I got 5 and put them in every car and gifted them out. I respond everytime this deal or comparable set is posted. It is worth $20 easily. You will not find a more complete "home" set for less. I welcome anyone to post a comparable set for the same price. It has hammer, pliers, adjustable wrench, screwdriver, hex, and socket wrench. This is the most used set in my home because of the case and pieces don't go missing. The socket wrench will help you in a pinch if you need to adjust anything on the car like change your battery or tighten a hose. The other day I took my kids biking at the park and I needed to adjust the seats a bit higher. I was able to because I had this cheap set with hex and screwdriver in the car. I have used the socket wrench to install a hitch on my car, so the build is quite solid. Yeah there are better sets out there for constant use or for "professionals". But you are not gonna find any issues with this set with occasional or even frequent use (unless quality has dramatically changed in the last 2 years since I've bought it). If you need it, get it, you won't regret it. Yeah this set is not on sale, this is regular price. But it is never in stock when I check and I plan on getting more now as gifts and backup sets.

Bro, you still haven't backed up your claim that you can get this for $10 "anywhere". Do you even buy tools bro?

Perfect timing. I've been looking for something like this for the cars. Thanks.

Seems like a great inexpensive/low quality set to throw in the trunk for long trips when you might need a tool in a pinch (on the side of the road, etc.).

I have used a similar kit that includes some deep wells sockets for years and it stays in my detached wood working shop. Saves me trips to the garage to get my main tools. It doesn't have to be top quality to be useful. I consider this a home kit. Maybe it's just me but it seems for cars and keeping it there.... I think I always need some combination of a stubby, extensions, swivels and a wooble to do anything car related. Man, even changing a battery on modem cars is not simple anymore. I do keep a multi-tool in each car though.

I have one of their bigger sets. Poor quality, the case sucks. Things keep falling around when closing. Would not buy.

A quality set of screwdrivers already cost this much(Wera). Low grade tools on sales have costed me more in unneccesary replacement of parts and added stress than anything else. yes you save a few bucks.

If using for important projects I advise getting better quality to save you money in the long run too
You mean I shouldn't buy this to rebuild the engine on my race car. /S

Obviously it's not for important projects, it's not for any project. This is for quick repairs around the home and it works perfectly for that.

This is the perfect tool set for the millennial DIYer. You buy it, put it in you trunk and never use it.
Not a good set for a boomer. He won't buy it, he'll complain that the quality is not sufficient to do repairs on the space station. Then he'll tell you some lame story about back in his day while never fixing anything.

If you need to complain about another generation to feel complete you are just confirming that your time has passed. I'm sure there are older people than you that live a fuller life. Just accept your age and enjoy your life without having to put someone younger down.

Your lecture is hypocritical. And besides, how do you know he's a boomer?

I don't but either way he'll be made for being called a boomer. Boomer in this context is not really an age group any more just someone who complains about millennials for no reason. (And yes I know it comes from baby Boomer which are people born after WWII)

You're making stuff up now. So someone doesn't have to be a boomer to be called a boomer? First I heard of it. Maybe it's because I'm a boomer? Smilie

No harbor freight tools have a better warranty.
He's actually correct with the lack of a comma after the first word so what he typed means that there are no Harbor Freight tools which have a better warranty than these, but what he means to say is:
"No, Harbor Freight tools have a better warranty."
A single comma makes a big difference in the meaning of a sentence. For example:
"It's time to eat, grandma!" vs "It's time to eat grandma!" lol

If there's a better up to ~$100 home tool set, can anyone recommend one please?

I bought this exact set new from eBay Jan 2021 for $20. A gift for my daughters freshman college year away from home. She loves the kit and has given it a fair amount of use. We reloaded the included small nail container with useful sized nails and screws. If I had a need I'd buy it again. Believe me, HF can't touch the value on this handy $20 tool kit.
Yes, I plan to do the same thing. This is perfect for my daughter to throw in her car or have available when on her own.
If she wants to increase her "tool set" collection later... great! But, this will provide anything a new "away from home" person needs.
